If the stand doesn't come with an AC charger, how does it charge the computer? I assume you use the AC charger that comes with the computer? What's the purpose of the magnetic pogo pin connector (to hold the computer in place on the stand)?
Yes your assumption is correct it uses the power charger that came with your device. plugs in and then it reroutes the power to the base where it sits.
The stand did not come with an AC charger. Yes, I use the AC charger that came with the computer The magnetic pogo pin connector just holds the computer in place on the stand.
Yes, the AC adapter that comes with the computer can plug into the computer or into the screen. Plugging it into the stand removes the need to plug and unplug the computer if taking it to another room for use. Magnetic pins make it easy to always get the computer in the right place in the stand.
This stand does not charge the computer. You will use the AC charger that comes with the computer itself. The magnetic pogo pin connector is to keep the computer in place.
Is there an option/setting to prevent it from overscharging when the computer is left on the (plugged in) stand? I saw a reference to this but can't find it in settings.
not sure about overcharging.. but there is specific DELL installed software that you can manage the batteries charging state.. an even have it set to stop charging before it reaches %100 to help preserve the batteries ability to hold a charge ..
