A:
The subwoofer has an amplifier inside. you can connect the satellite to the output of the preamp, which is the one that has the input connection for the sound system. Do not connect the sound system to an amplifier unless is the satellites only (satellites can technically be connected to any amplifier, however is not recommended by the manufacturer, you can void the warranty). Otherwise you'll blow the system since there is already an amplifier is inside. Also, keep in mind that since the connection is analog, you'll be limited to the quality of the cable, amplifier inside and speakers. you can improve the signal with a preamp, but don't expect miracles. A good sound system will be over 1000 dollars where the speakers, amplifier and cables will be a separate purchase for each. Gold connections can improve quality.
