You reach up behind the bottom of the tv and pull on the two rings and pull down as you pull on each ring gently pull out on the side you are pulling on the ring. Do that on each side then lift up on TV and take it down
You should be able to push up on the TV and then it should slide out of the bracket. Then there are screws in the mount that connect the mount to the wall....just unscrew them.
I biased mine so that the release catches are not visible below the TV. These brackets have plenty of holes. Be sure to use all four holes in the TV and the correct bolts, as there are plenty provided to choose from.
Wall mounting in any method not described in the manual is not recommended. Improperly installing the wall mount could lead to if detaching from the wall and would not be covered by warranty.
Tricky question. Yes it is compatible, but you will need to go to a hardware store and pick up the proper size screws that did not come with the Rocketfish product. Once I did that, it worked fine.
It turns out that my mother's apartment was built with metal studs not wood? Do I still use the fasteners that came with the package or should I use a different fastener?
That would be kind of tricky. Possible if you purchase the right hardware from your local hardware store. I would determine your tv'so weight and then go see what is available from the hardware department. It's going to be a close call, I personally would not try it though. Sorry.
No TV should be mounted without supports unless you want to come home and find it in pieces on the floor. Save your money and by a stand that will hold your TV.
Ideally you'd like to have the studs to anchor into. However, depending on the type of wall or the quality of drywall you can buy a good enough anchoring system that should be good enough to hold the weight. You might want to play it safe and consult a professional on the structure of the wall or just move the tv to a more secure point on the wall so that you can anchor it into a stud.
The device comes with several sizes of bolts. I'm sure that you should have no problem finding a size that is provided that will fit your requirements. We had no problem installing ours without additional lag bolts.
No, it only tilts once the bracket has been installed to the wall. So make sure you install it at the exact height you want the TV to hang. It can be slid slightly left/right once installed and the TV is placed with the hardware onto the bracket (maybe 3" or so either way). But not vertically.
no you have to the bracket on the tv where you want the center of the tv to be than take that measurement and install the bracket so that the top of the bracket is at the height of the middle of the clips. That pick the tv up and over the top of the bracket and slide it down in place til you hear the click and done....Easy!!!!
This needs to be mounted on a straight part of a wall. However, you can buy one of the high end wall mounts that range for more than $100 and the tv tilts in any direction you want. Forward, Backward, Right, Left, Up, and even Down.
No, you would need a full motion mount for that. I got about 58 hits on this site about $30 and up. Make sure you hit a stud when putting the mount on the wall.
