Great Trimmer with Useful Accessories

This Philips Multigroom shaver comes with 9 accessories, an instructional book, a cleaning brush and a drawstring bag to keep everything in.
At first I thought there were a lot of accessories to keep track of and that perhaps they would not be necessary, but after testing them all - they all have useful purposes.
For most everyday hair trimming, we (my husband and I) use the shortest beard attachment, or no attachments at all. The cutting edge of the razor is sharp enough to get a very clean, down to skin, cut, but safe enough to not cut skin or fingers.
The two attachments I found very helpful were the nose trimmer and the precision trimmer which I call the ear trimmer). The nose trimmer cuts a perfect line on the upper lip or lower part of the mustache, and slightly inside the nose. The ear trimmer cuts in a circle near the bottom of the attachment and fits perfectly into the ear.
All the attachments are extremely easy to pop on and off, and very easy to clean with the brush or with water.
This Norelco is perfect for beards, mustaches, and even body hair (my husband likes to shave his body in the summer to avoid feeling bugs when he's outside). It literally took about one minute to shave his entire back.
Overall, great shaver/trimmer!

One little issue but still 5 stars

This Logitech Zone 300 headset is wonderful. The first thing I noticed was how comfortable, especially around the ears, they are. I have very sensitive skin, so can't wear ear buds. This headset is very lightweight and there is padding around the ears and the headband. They connected immediately to my devices - laptop and my phone.
The two best features are the sound quality and the battery life. Both are fantastic! The sound is very crisp and clear, and the mic mutes itself when in the up position so there is no sound pickup from the environment (this can be controlled in the app as well). I find myself using the headset, even when I don't need to, because the sound is so good.
The battery life is amazing. It came charged up to 60%, but I fully charged it. I then used it all day for work and watching a movie, and then the next day intermittently. It was still charged at 80%. It tells you when you power the headset on what percentage it is at. The app, Loti Tune, also displays the percentage.
The only issue I did find was when I was walking around with the headset - if I bent over even slightly, the headset would slip right off. It's not worth reducing a star for, because it doesn't happen all that much and the other qualities more than make up for this little issue.

Solid and Simple Laser Printer

This Brother laser printer is great. It came very well packaged. There was an overabundance of paperwork - most unnecessary - but the Quick Setup Guide was clearly written and easy to follow. The toner cartridge was extremely easy to install (I have fought installation in some other laser printers). The paper was also easy to load and has guides that are well marked for sizes.
Once turned on, the machine instantly said "Ready". I did have an issue with the online setup of the wireless network. It just kept circling trying to connect. So I manually added the network right on the printer - very easy and connected without a problem.
The best part of this laser printer is the clear quality of the prints and the fast printing. I occasionally have to print large numbers of documents, and this printer prints 2-3 times faster than my inkjets. The quality is better too.
Overall, I highly recommend this Brother laser printer - it's quality built, easy to setup and use, and prints clearly and quickly.

Pleasantly Surprised - Helps with Health Goals

The Withings ScanWatch Light is great. I was pleasantly surprised at how lightweight and comfortable the watch is. It does not bother me at night to sleep with it, unlike other smart watches I've used.
The style is simple and the basic black modern design can be worn with both casual and dressier clothes. I like that the watch has both an analog watch face, but also a small circular window for the digital functions.
The watch was easy to set up in the app - it walks through each step in the setup, but also provides step by step tutorials to get to know the watch in small segments.
Some of the best features include the sleep monitoring which tells you not only the length, but the quality of sleep you get each night. I find the results to be fairly accurate.
Another feature I enjoy is the "breathe" selection which walks you through some deep breathing (which is super healthy). Other features I use daily include the steps walked, the heart rate, workout options and clock functions (alarm, stopwatch, timer).
I find that using the watch is helping me monitor my health and boosts my incentive.
The only negative so far is that it will unpair occasionally, but that may be due to our sporadic internet.
I highly recommend this watch for anyone who wants to implement or monitor their overall health.

Best Security System yet

The Arlo security system comes nicely packaged in sturdy boxes. There is a film on each camera telling you to fully charge - which did not take very long since they were partially charged from the factory. It only comes with one cord for the four cameras, but it is a standard C type so easy to find other cords to charge at the same time.
I've had other Arlo systems, and there are a lot of improvements with this one starting with new wall mounts and plates that are simple to install (they have directional arrows), and they swivel, so you can position the cameras quickly.
These cameras are high quality and the system comes with a sturdy security sign for the yard.
The system was easy to install with a new app and had step by step instructions for each camera that included pairing it, checking for WiFi strength and even specifics on how to mount. I named each camera "A", "B"... etc. and then wrote the corresponding letter with permanent marker on the back of each so they'll be easy to identify.
The app itself is improved and includes a dashboard to see all cameras (you can add or delete devices), as well as what type of movement it indicates (person, vehicle, animal). You can shut off alerts for one or more types.
One of the best new features is a spotlight on each camera which lights when it detects movement.
The feed (which shows recorded movements) can be filtered by date and each thumbnail has the time, type of motion, which camera and the length of the video. Of course the most important feature is the high video quality playback. The videos are super clear.
The battery life is good - especially considering we have a lot of movement with animals and cars.
Overall, I am super impressed with the Arlo Essential security system.

Not Quite Enough

I really wanted to like this Lenovo Ideapad. It has a beautiful ultra slim design and is very lightweight - which was exactly what I was looking for to put in my bag for easy transport. The 14" display screen is big enough to easily see and navigate. The graphics are more than adequate with a good HD screen. The design and functionality are good - comfortable keyboard, plenty of ports including HDMI and C type, as well as USB and an SD card reader. It even has a camera lens cover, which is a great option.
When I first completed setting up the laptop, I went to change the desktop image, and it froze up. Once I rebooted, it was painfully slow when trying to do anything. Even CTL ALT DEL did not respond for at least 30 seconds. At first, I thought it was because I had selected an old computer profile - so it had to load the setup from that. Then, I ran a windows update to see if that helped (it needed a major update). Unfortunately, even after updating and rebooting, the laptop is very slow at responding, particularly if trying to perform more than one task. The laptop is not very useful as is. I will probably try a reset to see if that helps. It has a lot of potential for a portable, lightweight option - I hope the performance goes up with a reset.

Added sense of security

This Swann Personal Alarm is great. It's small - fits easily in my front pocket along with my pocket knife. It also comes with a keychain and a cord to use as a necklace if desired. Installation and pairing the device with the app was quick and had no issues. It did seem to connect and disconnect with my Wi-Fi a few times - but that was probably due to my network issues and did not seem to interfere with the functionality of the alarm.
There are two ways to use this safety device - one is to sound a siren by unlocking and pulling up on the button. You have to pull quite firmly, which is good so that you don't accidently set it off. I do think the siren could be much louder or a little scarier sounding, but it would probably startle a perpetrator for a few seconds.
The second way to use the device is to send an emergency alert to a contact person of your choice. It is simple to activate by unlocking and pressing down on the button (instead of up for siren). It can be used discreetly, which is a great feature in some situations where you wouldn't want the bad guy to know you alerted someone. We tested the emergency button both at home and about 10 miles away - it worked perfectly every time and there did not seem to be a delay which is good considering we can have sketchy phone coverage.
Overall, this device does provide an additional layer of protection and feeling of safety and I'll carry it with me on a daily basis. You can also subscribe to various paid plans for monitoring, emergency response and video services.

Great Slim Espresso Machine

At first, reading through the instructions, I was intimidated by the complexity of all the steps to purge and clean, blank shot, run steam, run water. But...it only took a couple of times to get used to the process and is great to have an espresso so easily available.
Some of the best features include a separate water tank, that removes for convenient filling, two different sizes for grounds, and even the scoop which doubles as a tamper and cleaner.
The steamer/ milk frother is very easy to use and froths perfectly. The tube is easy to clean and has a stainless sleeve that comes off to ensure no buildup of old milk (especially when shot steam afterwards to assist when wiping).
For an inexpensive and compact espresso maker, the flavor is still robust and you can produce a consistent cup of espresso or cappuccino.
The unit seems to be of good quality and overall easy to keep clean.
This slim espresso is great for everyday use and does not take up much counter space. A great machine for a person who wants to be a home barista...not as convenient as my other espresso cup machine, but still worth recommending.

Should be a little easier.

When I first unpackaged the Thinkware dash cam, I thought it couldn't get much easier. It comes with a small cylindrical camera (and component to mount it) and a plug in for the cigarette lighter. There were no instructions or quick start guides, just a paper with 3 QR codes. One goes to customer service numbers (phone and email), one goes to the downloads of firmware, app and user manual, and the last one to warranty info.
When you go to the downloads, you select the series, then the model. It says there is a firmware update for this model - and the instructions go on about downloading it on the SD card and transferring it to a computer. That didn't make sense to me and I don't have a mini SD card reader. Surely that couldn't be the only way to update. So I thought I would just download the app and plug it in to see what happens. The mobile app was not conveniently listed by scanning that first QR code. You have to scroll all the way to the bottom of that page to find mobile app.
Once downloaded, the phone app was easy to set up and easy to navigate. The only way to use the app, view recordings or access the camera is to have it plugged into the vehicle. When you first plug it in and start the app, it says you have to use Wi-fi for some features, but using Wi-Fi will disable some features. I found that very confusing.
So I just started driving. It did record video well (which really is the only purpose of the dash cam). The playback was pixelated - which I think is due to the area I live in as it does have a good HD camera. The only way to view recordings is to have it plugged in or to take out the micro SD card and connect to a computer.
There are some pros including small size, voice that tells you it's recording, and parking mode, which can withstand high temps.
For a basic, small, inexpensive, no cloud storage dash cam, it is good. I wish it had a better setup manual, or videos to explain how to use it (Wi-Fi vs. Bluetooth).

Terrific all around printer!

This Pixma printer came very well packaged, with clear and easy setup instructions. Getting the printer installed on my phone and my computer, however, was very difficult. There is QR code to use. On my Android phone, it finally connected after two attempts. On my computer, the installation never did work with the setup download. I had to find a different download software online. I'm not sure if the difficulty was with my networks (I have multiple but tried a couple of them) or the speed of the internet (my fastest one is still slow). It would be nice to just be able to download drivers and use the Windows printer setup, rather than having to use the app.
That being said, once connected, the printing was wonderful! I first printed 50 forms on card stock and the speed and print quality were both impressive. Next, I printed a program that used duplex printing and having automatic feeding on the duplex is very convenient! It prints the first side, sucks the paper back in, and prints the other side. On some of my other printers, I have to pull the paper out manually and reinsert (in the proper direction) in order to print on both sides.
Another positive feature is the touch screen and navigation buttons on the printer itself. They are very easy to understand and finding the setting I want seems easy compared to many printers.
I also deducted one star because the ink seemed to be a little high priced, and the Pixma Print Plans only go up to 200 pages per month (with rollover up to 200 pages). I tend to print 50-100 copies at a time for meetings, programs, etc. so this can add up quickly. I have ordered the XL cartridges, which should have a much greater yield.
Even with the setup hassle and the ink prices, this is my everyday, go to printer over my other major brand printers due to the speed and print quality.

That would be a setting on you computer - under the Sound setting. When you plug in the the earphone jack, it should play back in your headset. If you want to hear it through your speakers, unplug the earphone jack (leave the microphone jack plugged in to record).
