In Breath of the Wild, this amiibo will not get you a horse, despite the figure being a horse. It's possible you can obtain items for your horse amongst a variety of possibilities like new weapons. Other than that, it's a cool looking figure.
HINT: If you want a horse from an amiibo, have the Smash Bros. Link figure at the ready. ;)

Good for use in a pinch

If you're playing Breath of the Wild and are running through a thunderstorm with only metal gear, this is the life saver amiibo. Using Bobokin will spawn non metal gear allowing you to continue without being zapped. As a bonus for using an amiibo, the gear will usually come with a good buff like better durability or attack power.
As a figure, it's kinda cool to look at. Put him next to other villain amiibo for a leader and minion team up. Or at least that's what I did with Bobokin standing next to Ganondorf. =P

Cool figure, limited uses

This is one of the few amiibo I am putting back in it's packaging after removing the dumb scanning blocker. In the packaging, the figure is depicted as moving across the plains of Hyrule with a cardboard image around the figure. This is cool to see, especially when considering other amiibo don't have anything decorative like this around them.
In terms of actual functionality, in Breath of the Wild, this figure will spawn a certain useful resource. The thing is this is only usable once a day. It's appreciated but not worth the $20 if that's all you wanted this figure for. If you'll use this in other games to get bonuses... It's still not worth it. As a figure itself, this amiibo is worth it with functionality being a bonus.

The Perfect Starter Kit for the Switch

With this package, I got perhaps one of the best Zelda games to date (with an box art on the back of the game's case). I also got a convenient carrying case that has surprisingly gotten more use than originally expected and a soundtrack selection CD that's been a good listen in car rides. A cool bonus with the CD is the addition of a live rendition of the main theme which sounds really good AND DOESN'T HAVE THE STUPID PAUSE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MUSIC LIKE IN THE TRAILER VERSION. The included map was cool to look at and the coin.. it's a coin.
Overall this was a great package to get to start off my Switch with. My only complaint is that it didn't come with the Expansion Pass for the game. Oh well. Good luck to everyone trying to find one of these Special Editions.

As a player of the original release, I'm happy with this version of the game. I get the 9 player madness I love, some of the greatest indie game characters of the past few years (Team Lilac here! Shovel Knight is awesome as well) AND as a bonus, all of the DLC included right on the disc! Also, I found out that there's a code with the game for a free download of the soundtrack, which is a good listen. BE WARNED if you have save data from the original Runbow, it will not be compatible with this disc version. I almost decided against getting this version for that reason. But it was worth it in the end to me.

MUCH better than the case I got at GameStop. With the case I got there, it's a chore to get the game card in and wrench it out. With this case, the cards got in with minimal effort and out with minimal effort. Plus, this case holds more games than the GS case. The only thing I can complain about is that 3DS games are put in one way in one column and upside down on the other which looks weird. But that's not a problem since I'm mostly delegating DS games into this case and those can go in fine without being upside down.

Can you take off the Joy-Con straps and put it on the console with the battery pack on and how long will the packs supply a charge? Thanks.
You cannot have both these battery packs attached to the Joy-Cons and the Switch console itself, not that it matters. These battery packs are meant to charge the Joy-Cons while they aren't connected to the Switch. If the Joy-Cons are connected to the Switch, the batteries aren't being used since it's a direct, physical connection instead of wireless connection. If the Joy-Cons are attached to the Switch while the Switch is being charged, then the Joy-Cons will be charged as well.
How long the packs supply a charge, I cannot answer. I've been using these more as grips than battery packs so I haven't actually put batteries in them yet.
