If you already have a Mario amiibo of any sort, this one is.... kinda cool, nothing spectacular. Cool looking mold but nothing too interesting in terms of special functionality; just one little extra in Maro Maker. If you want a Mario amiibo, this is a great variant. If you already have a Mario amiibo, you need to be a big Mario fan like me to find this neat.

Great jumping from iOS

I've been interested in the Android interface for quite a while now. I jumped ship from an iPhone 4S to the Moto G unsure of what to expect. As a more advanced user of computers and games, the Moto G feels absolutely great to use as I can add more customization options than I ever could with iOS. Additionally, I'm able to better manage my files and what goes into the phone's storage than iTunes would allow me. Nothing feels watered down. Being able to add extra storage is also a huge plus as I can carry around more music with me. Apps and games seem to run well as I tested a few 3D games and played (and beat) the remastered Sonic 2. As a cheaper phone, this is great choice to use.
HOWEVER, when I saw 8GB of storage, I expected at least 6GB to be available to use. Sadly the storage comes down to less than 5GB. Even adding a 32GB microSD doesn't help for downloading apps as apps will still take up room on the internal storage, even after moving the app to the SD card. Also there's the possibility of having the battery completely drain and then not being able to turn the device back on after charging (this was eventually fixed by holding down the power button for 20 seconds; but it required an internet search to figure out). If I had my way, I'd go for the 16GB model with 2GB of RAM as it's not that much more expensive and it would help alleviate the few problems I have with the 8GB model.

Nice figure, questionable functionality

I like the figure and the idea behind it but it feels like DLC in that you get missions and costumes that you can't get through normal gameplay. But it will also help with earning more money to spend on multiplayer gear when you can't connect to the internet for whatever reason. The amiibo functionally can expand to other games like Hyrule Warriors and Captain Toad for random equipment and 1-UPs, but otherwise it's functionally feels questionable. Especially considering how hard it is to get any amiibo that isn't Mario. When amiibo stock shortages are gone, this will be a great buy.

PACs a punch!

The Pac Man amiibo is a well made figure. If you find one I recommend picking it up. It's Pac Man. Who doesn't like Pac Man?
The thing you need to know when buying this is it's limited functionally in games right now. Training it in Smash Bros. is fun, it unlocks costumes/skins in certain games and gives a random bonus in other games. If you think amiibo are cool figures or you want another fighter to train for Smash Bros. amiibo tourneys, Pac Man is a great choice.

Can you take off the Joy-Con straps and put it on the console with the battery pack on and how long will the packs supply a charge? Thanks.
You cannot have both these battery packs attached to the Joy-Cons and the Switch console itself, not that it matters. These battery packs are meant to charge the Joy-Cons while they aren't connected to the Switch. If the Joy-Cons are connected to the Switch, the batteries aren't being used since it's a direct, physical connection instead of wireless connection. If the Joy-Cons are attached to the Switch while the Switch is being charged, then the Joy-Cons will be charged as well.
How long the packs supply a charge, I cannot answer. I've been using these more as grips than battery packs so I haven't actually put batteries in them yet.
