Unfortunately, I expected too much for this movie. At this time, this make believe "Star trek" has far too go to be able to reach across the Pacific to be accepted by a wider audience. It reminds you of older poor overacting movies that we would have thought would be in the past. Not so much the movie plot or the setting, which were not that bad, but the acting was stiff and not believable.

The idea of Flash is not really bad, but it is hard to see this movie and Barry Allen as one of the DC Comics serious reproduction for multiple seasons. It maybe that there is a lack of a strong central story and lack of outstanding performances by supporting actors to keep watching this after the first season.
A Super-Secret Organization recruits an unrefined but promising street kid into the agency's ultra-competitive training program just as a dire global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius. A phenomenal cast, including Academy Award Winners Colin Firth and Michael Caine and Oscar Nominee Samuel L. Jackson, leads this action-packed spy-thriller directed by Matthew Vaughn (X-Men First Class).

We did not expect Colin Firth to be the next 007, but he did a good job in trying to replace Roger Craig. Strong performances by Michael Caine and Samuel Jackson made this movie worth while to watch. It was still difficult to imagine Colin Firth in his role as a super agent because we know him as an outstanding actor in more serious roles like the King of England. Similar to watching Liam Neeson in the Taken series, which has gone beyond reason when they made more than one picture with Neeson as the super Dad. At least there was some humor with Colin Firth (in the typical English style) playing the super agent, all though I don't think we can take a sequel of the Kingsman like we do the outstanding 007 series.

This was Michael Keaton's best performances to date. The movie was loaded with outstanding performances, for that matter, by Emma Stone, Naomi Watts, and Edward Norton. This was the best by Edward Norton since he played the bad guy in The Italian Job, and maybe by Emma Stone since Spiderman. It gave a more deep look into the making of a Broadway play and the cost to actors to achieve success at this level. It was understanding why this picture won best picture.

When you think that Daniel Craig as 007 is at the end of the line he still surprises you with a terrific performance. Nevertheless, Ralph Fiennes does not quite fit the role of M that we are used to. Christoph Waltz as the evil head of Spectre gives a strong performance and is equal to Daniel Craig's 007 role. Madeleine Swann played by Lea Seydoux is really the mystery in this movie. There is a strange quality about her that initially puts you off, but as the story unravels, she becomes more attractive. All and all, Spectre and Daniel Craig does not let us down in the newest James Bond episode.
This collection brings together four of the most important films in the career of cinematic icon Humphrey Bogart - Casablanca, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, The Maltese Falcon, and The African Queen, for which he won his one and only Oscar.

The Bogart collection was really purchased for Casablanca, but it was a real bonus to get the other 3 movies at the same time (African Queen, The Maltese Falcon, and the Treasure of the Sierra Madre). The bottom line is Humphrey Bogart is Bogart in no matter what movie he is in. But it is the leading actresses that are the best. Especially, Ingrid Bergman who takes the scenes every time. You forget how terrific she is until you see Casablanca again, and how one of the great actresses of the past could also be great in movies today.

One of the best movies for Matt Damon in a great movie directed by Ridley Scott. Story was believable and scenes were breathtaking, especially the open Mars desert scenes. The cast was great, especially Jessica Chastain, who was great in Zero Dark Thirty. Interesting contrast between military personnel and civilians on the rescue crew that did not really show up until the decision was made to rescue Matt Damon.

this was a fairly good type of series with good to fair actors. The leader of Shield Agent Colson was a bit tight at times, but generally believable. Melinda May was very good as the stoic agent who was shown to the end to be one of the most solid agents in the series. She was at times put off but that was her character. Grant Ward was sort of a mystery, because it was not clear until the very end who's side he belonged. Kind of a weak anti-hero type. The twins Leo Fitz and Jemma Simmons were perfect for their roles. Skye was terrific for her part as the computer hacker. But she was may be really too young for the part and not nerdy enough. However, those eyes were a killer. In the Shield survived with the help of Samuel Jackson, who you forgot was a Marvel character. Would have been better if he played a larger role. He is such a imposing figure and takes over the scene when he appears.
This dual pack features the smash hits The Davinci Code and its sequel Angels & Demons. Both films are adapted from author Dan Brown's controversial best-selling novels about a powerful secret that's been kept under wraps for thousands of years. Both films are directed by Ron Howard and star Tom Hanks as Professor Robert Langdon, the most respected symbologist in the United States, who uses his knowledge to piece together clues that put him on the trail of an international conspiracy involving the Catholic Church.

These are some of Tom Hanks best roles. May even rank with Private Ryan. It also helps to have Tom Browns stories as the bases of the movies. Tom Hanks plays a symbologist, which is strange profession, but has landed him in Harvard as a professor. He is recommended to help interpret some symbols that are left on or burned into priests that are murdered because they are eligible to become the next cardinal. The stories move very fast and smooth as does Tom Brown's books. The stories have been written to keep the reader from putting the books down, and this goes with the movies that are hard to pull away from. The supporting casts are very strong, and are believable. Both movies were directed by Ron Howard at his best.

The story of the programmer winning a contest to go to the company's owner was not so believable. But once the movie got underway, it became more believable. Domhnall Gleeson did not really seem to fit the role of the young program but he appeared to be nerd enough for the role. Oscar Isaac did not also seem to fit the role of the brilliant inventor of the AI robots that were the best part of the story. OnlyAlicia vikander who was very believable as the robot that seduced Caleb Smith the young programmer winner. The end of the story was good with the robot trading places with real people who either were eliminated (owner) or imprisoned in the house as were robots.
