For whatever reason, 36 Crazyfists former label Roadrunner didn't feel like releasing this follow-up to their 2003 release A Snowcapped Romance. Whatever that reason may be, it's Roadrunner's loss. It's a great album.

Former Immortal frontman Abbath's debut is quite a different animal from Immortal, not the usual black metal you'd expect. It's quite fresh and new, and if you're an Immortal fan, you'd want to check it out.

Somewhere in between recording and touring as frontman for Anthrax, John Bush managed to find time to reunite with Armored Saint and record this gem. Revelation is one of my favorites, and it will be yours too when you hear it. Recently, he has gone back to Armored Saint full-time and recorded two more albums with the band. This band demands your attention now!

Jesse Leech still has the vocal chops that makes him the best vocalist in Killswitch Engage's history (sorry, Howard). He really got to show off on Disarm The Descent. The question was could he do it again for Incarnate? Absolutely, but let's not forget about the rest of the band. FYI, the special edition digipak has expanded artwork and three bonus tracks, and only Best Buy has it.

Don't be fooled by reviews, view this movie for yourself. It's action movie heaven for action movie fans. As far as this 4k release, the only disappointment is only the theatrical version is in 4k. The regular Blu-ray is included with both unrated and theatrical versions, so if you already have it, skip this.

An already awesome film, now in 4k

Don't be led by reviews criticizing the film because Charlize Theron's role pretty much overtake's the iconic role of Max played by Tom Hardy. This is one of the best Mad Max films ever made. Please note that the UHD Blu-ray is only playable on UHD Blu-ray players, and is best viewed with a 4k television and a high speed HDMI cable. The picture is stellar while the audio is similar to the regular Blu-ray release. I don't know how far developers and distributors are going to take this new format, but it's gonna take some getting used to with the higher cost of purchase. Be aware that the UHD Blu-rays do come with regular Blu-rays for those that want to slowly transition.

I feel like for their Nuclear Blast debut, Textures definitely show off their influences with a strong emphesis on Devin Townsend-style writing. This is not a bad thing if you like Strapping Young Lad/Devin Townsend.

Not your average technical metal band

Very much in the vein of other metal bands like Meshuggah, Soilwork, Scar Symmetry, The Contortionist, and Between The Buried And Me, this dutch metal band are in a league of their own on this album as some of the most melodic and intense metal they've produced so far. Look out for the counterpart Genotype to be released in 2017.

After the failure of their major label debut Threads Of Life (not a bad album), Shadoqws Fall returned with Retribution, a behemoth that of course reminds the listener that the band did not forgotten about what made The War Within a flawless album.
