This is an interesting release from Dream Theater featuring the heavier side of their sound performed by the current lineup. No need to say anymore, just check it out.

I admit I actually liked Super Collider. Though it wasn't a thrash album, it had it's moments. Dystopia goes back to more old school thrash in the vain of Peace Sells & Rust In Peace. If it sounds intriguing to you, pick it up now.
FYI to the reviewer who said the the new lead guitarist was Japanese, he's Brazilian. Do your research.

Not being a fan of power metal, I was interested when I found that this was produced by Hate Eternal frontman Erik Rutan. Cellador is one of the few power metal bands with a singer I can listen to. If Dragonforce were actually this good, I'd listen to them.

Three albums, each with a different lineup including a different vocalist. My point? Same band putting out a varied style with each album. This is not a bad thing, it just means the music is fresher with each release. With how it's been since this one came out, I'm just wondering when's the next one coming.

As I'm typing this, Black Sabbath are on their final tour. Anyone expecting a follow-up to 13, sorry. Doesn't look like that's happening. If it is their last hoorah, it's a perfect album to end things with.

Leave it to Dream Theater to come up with something as ambitious as a double album (not the first one they've done, remember Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence?) to flex their musical muscle. Well, don't get too excited if you're expecting something along the lines of their recent music. It's more like Dream Theater doing a rock opera, a very theatrical sounding one. This may or may not be the Dream Theater you're used to, but give it a shot.

This is the American release of the deluxe release of Black Sabbath's sophomore album, and probably their best. For the remastering and bonus CD of extra tracks, this is worth the purchase.

The title of this album is a jab at those that illegially downloaded the music in it's demo form, and to those that leaked it. Sure, these songs are leftovers from previous recording sessions, but they're solid enough to qualify for an entire album. Just don't be turned off by the lack of a booklet, and please don't steal it as the title says.

System Of A Down is really one of those bands that's better taken in full doses rather than in pieces, and by that I mean better to hear their full albums especially when the "hit" songs that the radio plays over and over aren't even their best songs. Toxicity is a good example of that especially with the raw energy performance and the clear mixing from legendary engineer Andy Wallace (Slipknot, Slayer, Sepultura, White Zombie, Rage Against The Machine). This easily qualifies as one of those albums that you must hear before you die.
