Going for a more commercial sound doesn't always work. For Vision Of Disorder, it ended up being their final album for a while. While it's not their signature sound, it's actually a well done recording. Just don't expect it to storm of the gate like everything else they've done.

Very few blackened death metal bands (bands that mix black metal and death metal in their sound) are as evil and as heavy as Belphegor....well, that's all I'm saying about that. You need Belphegor in your music collection, whatever you can get, especially Walpurgis Rites. Highly recommended.

After their debut Pass Out Of Existence left a lot of mixed reactions with it's nu-metal sound, Chimaira went for a thrash/groove oriented sound with 6-string guitars tuned to drop C rather than 7-strings for The Impossibility Of Reason. The result is a darker yet still melodic album that gives nods to old school thrash. Recommended.

For the 10th anniversary, Slipknot's Iowa was reissued with 1 bonus track, a bonus CD of the Disasterpieces live recording (originally released on DVD in 2002), and a bonus DVD with a documentary about the touring cycle for the album. This is the definitive edition and a must-own especially if you already have the original CD. If you do, sell it and get this now. FYI, Slipknot's self-titled debut got a similar treatment for it's 10th anniversary, that one is also recommended.
