What more can be said about this classic film? You know it, you love it, and this is the best it has ever looked on home video, or maybe ever! It has been remastered to the best picture quality possible, and the sound is nice and clear. Not only that, this version has been restored to its original theatrical release (all home video versions were slightly edited in the shower scene), so this is the first time in decades that this version has been available!
From John Carpenter comes this chilling tale of a primordial essence unleashed from it's prison of seven million years by scientists. We don't know what the evil-looking liquid is in that ancient container, but with hordes of creepy crawlies around it, and a glow that turns folks into zombies, we bet it isn't Moxie. Donald Pleasence, Jameson Parker star. 102 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English; Subtitles English. Two-disc set.

Prince of Darkness has always been a strange film, but very effectively creepy with its visuals and tone. The idea to mix religion and science into the story is unique and much appreciated. Regular Carpenter actors, Donald Pleasance and Victor Wong, are both great in the film. The picture quality is great, considering this is a film source, which transfers very well to UHD. Sound holds up well, and is as good as it will likely ever be on a home media format.

A great movie gets a great 4K UHD release, now also with great steelbook packaging. The picture quality is superb, and even more importantly, the AUDIO is amazing! This is a film that lives and dies by its sound, so this disc had to get that right, and thankfully it does, with its Atmos surround sound. Watch this before you watch the sequel!
Capture better, more stable footage with this DJI Ronin-SC camera gimbal. The lightweight design offers easy one-handed operation, and advanced image stabilization technology makes it easy to capture stable, professional-quality footage. This DJI Ronin-SC camera gimbal offers a wide range of pan, tilt and roll adjustments and easily connects to cameras via Bluetooth and USB-C.

I purchased this to help with filming a wedding for a good friend, and it made the stabilization of the footage so much better. The learning curve for setup is tedious if you have not used a gimbal before, so be prepared to practice a few times before using it properly. All gimbals are like this, so that takes nothing away from my rating. The price of this gimbal is great if you are on a budget, and works well. Accessories will need to be purchased elsewhere, unfortunately. So be aware of that.

It should be noted that while Scream Factory released a non-steelbook blu-ray a few years back, this is NOT the same disc. This is actually an improved version with a better scan, resulting in superior picture quality. The first release was dark and flat looking in comparison. This is the best release available as of now, unless a 4K release is ever produced.

This classic action film has been upgraded to a great 4K release with improved detail and color via HDR10. This is the best the movie has looked on home physical media to date. The special features are mostly imported from the old DVD (the old blu-ray was lacking these features). The steelbook packaging is nice, like a lot of the Best Buy steelbooks.

It’s Kubrick. You know the movie is good. The picture quality is amazing on this 4K, especially in the second half when more colors are on display. It looks like film, so if you hate grain, this won’t sway you, but it does look about as good as it will probably ever look on home media.

Revenge of the Sith is the last and best entry in the prequel trilogy, and also looks the best in 4K, despite being filmed in digital 1080p originally. The HDR does make a difference in the coloring. I don’t have an ATMOS setup, but I do hear a difference between the audio in the ATMOS track and the old blu-ray. I would say it’s an upgrade for sure.

The classic Mel Brooks Star Wars parody looks the best it has ever looked on 4K UHD. It has a layer of film grain on it, so grain haters beware, but it looks as close to a projection of the actual film reel in a theater as you are likely to get. It far surpasses any previous DVD or blu-ray release.

This is an under appreciated film of Wes Craven’s. It isn’t perfect, but it’s never boring. Bill Pullman plays his role with an intensity that showcased early on that his range was great, seeing as he played in Mel Brook’s Spaceballs not long before this. The PQ and AQ are up to Scream Factory standards, which are always good-to-great. This movie could only really look better in 4K (which I would be shocked to ever see released.)
