Good drama about the father of the atom bomb.

Very well-made film about J. Robert Oppenheimer, the man who ushered in the age of nuclear weapons and changed the world forever. Long but never boring, this is an important subject for everyone today to know about. Hard to believe that in the 78 years since the atom bomb was used the first time (most people don't think of WWII as the only "nuclear war" in history) it has never been used again. Oppenheimer would have never believed the human race would last so long without destroying itself with the genie he'd released from the bottle, but here we still are all these years later. This is a very well done and well researched film and it really gives some insight into the man who never recovered from the guilt he felt from making the end of the world a true possibility.

Spectacular! It doesn't get any better than this! A lovingly and beautifully done collection by people who are clearly true die-hard fans of The Twilight Zone themselves.
Every single episode is scanned from the original camera negatives themselves and presented entirely uncut. The episodes look fantastic! All the tiny snippets cut from the episodes when the series was syndicated and intended to be shown in repeats (to make more time for commercials) are all right back where they should be. These copies are shown exactly as they were when they first aired on CBS starting back in 1959. Even Serling's introductions to each of the next week's episodes are all back in place. These are absolutely complete examples of all of the episodes in every way.
The sound has been remastered for greater fullness and clarity of dialogue. And it sounds fantastic!
And the special features are incredible too! Not only do we get commentaries during episodes, but we get multiple commentaries for many of them. And the often multiple commentaries are from directors, writers, actors, film historians, music composers and music historians--the amount and variety of material gathered is beyond belief.
There are two versions of the original pilot (the first episode) included, one with additional footage and including Rod Serling's pitch to would-be sponsors.
Recordings of Rod Serling lectures at the Sherwood Oaks Experimental College in which the class participates in question-and-answer sessions with him about specific episodes which had just been shown to the students are included.
Footage of class sessions with Rod Serling, and an interview with Mike Wallace discussing The Twilight Zone before the first episode ever aired are also included.
Isolated scores for each episode (scored by such greats as Jerry Goldsmith and Bernard Herrman) are here to be enjoyed.
Even episodes of The Twilight Zone radio show are included with the Blu-ray set!
The Playhouse 90 episode which was Serling's trial run for the pilot of The Twilight Zone, called "The Time Element", is here in this amazing set.

Avatar on 4K Blu-ray looks spectacular! This is by far the best I have ever seen this movie look. And the new Atmos soundtrack raises the audio bar, making this presentation not only the best looking, but also the best sounding version I have ever encountered. I do wish the extended version was also available on 4K Blu-ray, but Disney (who is trying desperately to move away from physical media) would never offer something that awesome to we the disc buyers. Still, this is a magnificent looking disc and comes with as high a recommendation as possible.

My least favorite season of Rick and Morty yet. The first four seasons were spectacular with ingenious ideas and concepts overflowing. Season five seemed to be running low on ideas and season six is even more so. I still like the show, but I pine for the plethora of mind-blowing ideas flowing with abandon of first four seasons.

This is a truly fun and enjoyable action comedy--Nicolas Cage's best film in a very long time. Cage plays himself (really a caricature of himself) poking fun at himself by portraying Nick Cage as an self-centered, totally clueless jerk who is massively in debt and to pay his bills takes an offer to appear at a foreign millionaire's home over a weekend for a million dollars. While there, the CIA contacts him and asks Cage to help them free a politician's daughter who they tell him has been kidnapped and is being held on the property to influence an election. Cage gets to play the action hero he's previously played only in movies in real life! Funny, scary, endlessly fun, I loved this movie massively. The best action comedy I've seen in years!

The Earth has been invaded by aliens and we're losing the war with them big-time. Cruise, exposed to alien substance, starts jumping back in time to the same moment over and over every time he dies in the same battle. Then he discovers a major war hero played by Emily Blunt who has experienced the same thing and asks for her help to at last make it through the battle in one piece and to also figure out how to finally defeat the enemy. Like an action-packed sci-fi/war movie version of Groundhog Day.
