This was an okay version of one of my favorite mystery novels. Although the adaptation was only okay, the 4k blu-ray image quality is off the charts! This movie was shot in 65mm, that's close to 12K! The image was then actually down converted to 4K Blu-ray!

This is a reference standard 4k Blu-ray! The picture quality is as good as 4k Blu-rays get!
The songs are fantastic, although the script is pretty lightweight.
Still, with songs and music and dancing this good--and image quality at such a superlative level--I can forgive the simplicities of the script.

A truly fantastic (as well as amazing) film! This is a war picture shot as a single take. Even though there are 17 or 18 cuts (all invisible) , filming each section nonstop had to be a nightmare to film. One mistake and they'd have to start over. What a task to film this, but boy does it ever pay off!
This film is mind bogglingly sharp in 4K! The disc looks absolutely incredible!

Great trilogy. This set includes both the theatrical editions and the extended editions in 4K. I do wish they had used less grain reduction to eliminate film grain. It robs the image of the very finest layers of detail that the sharpest 4K Blu-rays deliver. But, the discs still look very good--light years beyond the regular Blu-rays.
Still a must for any fan, these discs could have been even better if they hadn't insisted on so severely erasing the film grain.

4K Blu-ray looks absolutely phenomenal! Great picture and sound. Movie quits before the climax we've been waiting for happens. A little like Star Wars ending before the Death Star battle. I guess we'll have to wait for Alita 2. Wish they'd called it Alita Part 1 or something to let us know ahead of time that we wouldn't see the final climax in this picture.
