BE Spider Man!

Absolutely "amazing"! Simply "spectacular"! Spider-Man has had the most representations in video games, dating back to the Atari 2600. In large part, these have almost always been, at the very least, enjoyable, mostly very good, and in a few cases, downright innovative.
And that last category is where this game falls. It doesn't just continue a tradition of Spider Man leading the way in the genre of superhero games, it continues Sony's dominance in the exclusive market that Microsoft simply cannot keep up with in terms of sheer quantity AND quality. (And I say this as an owner and gamer of both systems).
At this point, if you haven't purchased and played this yet, you need to find a way to rectify that. Whether you're a gamer, a superhero fan, or both, Spider Man is arguably one of the very best games of the current generation.

Lightning (mostly) recaptured in a bottle

The original Lego Movie remains an ingenious, beloved film that brilliantly mashed up humor for both the target audience of youngsters and the adult parents that brought them to the theater to watch it.
The Lego Movie 2 is another fun romp with Emmet, Wyldstyle, Batman, Unikitty, and company.
As the aforementioned parent to a youngster who loves the Lego movies, and who enjoys them just about as much, who also greatly appreciates the consistent acknowledgments in the humor for us older moviegoers, the Lego Movie 2 largely continues that tradition. It continues, quite valiantly, the same quantity of humor for the parents, but the quality, for the first time among their big budget releases, staggered a bit. It's not all misses, but it's not all hits, either. Hopefully, this is a one-off rather than the beginning of showing cracks in the foundation with the well running dry.
In that regard, the effort was appreciated, it was just a shame more of the attempts didn't stick the landing.
On the kid's side of the film, my son enjoyed it very much. The efforts here paid off much more than on the aforementioned parents' side, but... and I have to state that it's both to be expected with such a near-perfect film such as the original, AND it's not nearly a "miss" that should be concerning, but even here, the kids' side didn't quite resonate as strongly with my son. Enjoy it, he most certainly did, but the continuation of joy after the credits rolled didn't last nearly as long.
I think a good portion of this is due to more predictability. There isn't much here that will come as a genuine surprise, despite several attempts. It's almost all easy to figure out where it's going- again, not due to a lack of attempt (while my son, at age 5, didn't audibly state "he knew that" (which he does at a (non)shockingly high rate, nowadays, lol,)) he also wasn't floored by any of it, and the adults will quickly see the clues, it's just THAT LITTLE of a "letdown" that it's impossible not to compare it, rather than view it as a continuation, to the original.
Now, let none of this scare you off. On a whole, LM2 is a worthy film to add to the collection, to keep as one of those rarely listed family films that truly is designed to entertain the ENTIRE family. It has a hard time keeping up with the original, and what film wouldn't? But, considering its pedigree, it can't help but be just a bit of a letdown in that regard.
In 4K, and this is also important, some of the best usage currently available is found in animation. Lego Movie 2 looks downright gorgeous, particularly combined with HDR. Plenty of brilliant uses of lighting and color really pop here, and if you have the setup for it, it's the best way to enjoy the movie.

A rare miss at excellence by a Sony exclusive
on May 12, 2019

Verified Purchase:Yes
While I own both a PS4 and an X1, one of the reasons I stand firmly in Sony's corner when it comes to play-time is due, not just to the sheer quantity of PlayStation exclusives, but the quality of those same exclusives.
Does that disclaimer mean Days Gone is bad?
Not at all. It's very fun. The weather system is incredible. Riding your motorcycle is a thrill. Fighting is handled well.
The problem is, while it may be fun, it never really hits that same level of excellence as games like God of War, The Last of Us, or Horizon Zero Dawn, to name a few.
For every fun thing, there always seems to be something that brings it down a notch. Scavenging can get tedious or knowing you're going to need to repair your bike, once again (occasionally preventing you from enjoying your current ride,) are examples.
If you're hoping to have a game to enjoy, Days Gone can certainly fit that bill, just keep expectations tempered in comparison to the many other Sony exclusives that have come in and raised the bar upon their release, hording Game of the Year honors by the handful. Days Gone is probably not going to be winning anyone's GOTY, but it may very well give you a zombie-killing open world game fix to eat up your game time.

Even Better Than the First
on May 12, 2019

Verified Purchase:Yes
Divinity Original Sin 2 has upped the game for turn-based "Western" role playing games to a point that it's hard to imagine it getting any better, in regards to game systems, controls, and handling, barring some major controller change to the next generation. Surely, the next gen PS5 will offer more in the way of graphics, loading times, or other technical increases, but as for porting over a game that relies on using a good chunk of a keyboard on PC to a console controller, this may be the very best we'll have, and it's great.
As great as it is, the "handling" would be nothing more than a wishlist item for a completely different game if the game itself wasn't any good, but Larian Studios continues with its amazing pedigree.
You'll have a group of 4 heroes chosen among 8 characters, all with their own fully fleshed story, or, if you choose, you can create your own. (The heroes they offer are excellent, and I'd recommend beginning with one of them. They introduce you into the gigantic array of systems easier. Even these pre-made heroes are customizable almost entirely from the ground up, so you'll be able to change a fighter hero to your preferred class right from the outset!) Their stories and their characterizations are done so well, you'll want to see them all play out!
Choice is perhaps the biggest thing here in DOS2. Every step of the way, you're truly in control. From choosing your class to interacting with other characters, whether they be major or minor characters, you truly "run the show". And it's much more than surface level- you won't just have a character class, spells, and attributes to choose from, but talents and backgrounds that help shape your story and how the world and its inhabitants engage with you. (Highly recommend "Pet Pal," which allows you to speak with animals, which are fully voiced!)
Choices will also shape the world, as decisions are permanent. Accidentally hit an onlooker during a battle, and they'll attack. Steal from or kill an NPC, and they or villagers may seek revenge, shun you, or close off quests you may have otherwise received from them.
Beyond choice, DOS2 offers an "innovative common sense" method of play. In a day and age where every game seems to take pride in hiding behind obtuse systems, DOS2's will almost seem easy to overlook in battle, even in the non-hurried gameplay of taking turns.
Cast a rain spell, causing enemies to be standing in a puddle, then zap them all with one lightning bolt. Knock over a barrel of oil, then set it ablaze to force enemies to bunch up at a chokepoint. (Or, in a personal example, launching a water arrow at a teammate who had been set on fire to put him out!)
What else makes DOS2 stand out among RPGs? You can play online to adventure with up to 3 other players. (Even in single player, you can split your adventurers and tackle 2 quests at the same time, if you choose, as you're also able to take direct control over anybody on your team). You can even play couch co-op with a friend or family member.
Even more intriguing is the "Game Master" mode, where up to 5 players play together, with one controlling the game's narrative as the GM.
DOS2 is, with very little wiggle room for debate, among the very top of the list of RPGs available for a console. You can argue for some of the Eastern style RPGs with some moxy, but among the Western style, it IS the best.
But, be warned, if Final Fantasy or Persona is what you're looking for, DOS2 is not it. It's still completely recommended, being the masterpiece that it is, but it is a different playstyle. It's Dungeons & Dragons in a digital form that's advanced further than the old Icewind Dales and the like from 15 years ago. It's a more complicated, more micro-managed game and takes lots of patience and a frequent willingness to save the game, especially early, as you learn the game. (Pretty sound advice to save often here, no matter your experience). It's a time-consumer, so set plenty of time aside when you pop this in.
If you're looking for one of the greatest RPGs ever made, your next addiction that will eat up over 100 hours to play through, then leave you heading back in with a new party to experience it from different eyes, DOS2 simply cannot be passed up!

Continued excellence from Quantic Dream
on May 8, 2019
Posted by: doc8998

Verified Purchase:Yes
Quantic Dream is one of the absolute jewels in Sony's crown of exclusive developers. And, while what they create may be difficult to define strictly as "games," what they do create is something that includes the most basic of game mechanics, along with filmmaking, storytelling, and world building to create art. Introspective, thought-provoking journeys that no other studio has proven to be capable of producing at the same consistency as QD.
On the technical side, QD features some amazing graphics, with top-tier 3D CGI on par with any movie production to bring Hollywood actors into their games.
Where Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe anchored their prior game, they've brought in two of the greatest character actors since the 80s in Lance Henriksen (Aliens, Near Dark,) and Clancy Brown (The Kurgan from the original Highlander!) To bring Detroit to life.
Which is, I suppose, appropriate, because the theme of Detroit falls squarely into the realm of Blade Runner in asking the questions about artificial intelligence/ androids being actual life.
This question will be asked in various ways as you play through three different stories, told concurrently, as the androids: a cop assigned to a human partner, an assistant to an artist paralyzed from the waist down, and a homemaker/ nanny to a young girl and her broken and abusive father.
You will be tasked with chores and jobs both mundane and extraordinary while experiencing a story and being asked questions that remain firmly in the latter category.
Detroit Become Human is far less a game and much more an experience, one you'll be glad to have taken once the credits begin.

Great film, great 4K, difficult review

Alien. In space, no one can hear you scream. A special film chosen for preservation in the National Film Registry for its importance. A film that was the antithesis of the hopeful, futuristic, fairy tale galaxy crafted by George Lucas' Star Wars only 2 years prior. It wasn't knights versus a big bad threatening the galaxy using a bright palette with allies formed from colorful by colorful, friendly aliens. This was a lived-in, used world where space truckers fought for their lives within a haunted house from a force of nature that threatened them personally, whose only alien didn't have any color and whose only alliance to our heroes is as sustenance.
Alien is an AMAZING film. (And spawned a sequel equally as amazing that changed the entire series' genre not only well, but on a scale of success not known prior or since). It's a film that, 40 full years later, remains amazing with no asterisks to that "amazing" needed. It's not "amazing, but..." Every area of this film that you would have forgiven for aging over 4 decades; a script, special FX, the technology used in the film, the technology used in creating the film, the score... every single aspect has, almost half a century later, remain as something you could expect and be satisfied with in a film released this week. (One might argue the "technology being used in the film/ by characters point," but this is a flawed argument. These were "space truckers," low-end not kept current in tech, often using and re-using tech just to get by. Fun fact: the Nostromo, based on lore, was to have had TWO escape pods, but one was awaiting repairs to make it functional again, hence why there was only one available, with only a capacity for three, despite seven crewmembers).
This 4K HDR version is gorgeous, and makes a terrifying movie even moreso. Not only was the facelift beyond perfect, but there's a noticeable increase of the picture's size: you can actually view more of each image. It is given a treatment worthy of its place in film history.
The extras are good, but not overwhelming in the least. Nothing MAJORLY noteworthy is here that you haven't seen before... except...
And this is NOT mentioned on the list of extras, NOR ON THE DISC ITSELF. Redeeming your digital copy THROUGH MOVIES ANYWHERE (don't do it through Vudu, which only redeems as 1080, as well) not only redeems the 4K copy, but includes the SIX original short films created by fans and chosen as winners by FOX. Again, the 4K and 6 films do NOT show on Vudu, ONLY on Movies Anywhere. (Of fun note, the short film "Alone" features James Paxton, son of the late, great Bill Paxton, who played fan favorite "Hudson" in the sequel, Aliens).
So, why is Alien a difficult review? Because, in the process of upgrading to 4K, for whatever reason, Ridley Scott, who oversaw the process, chose NOT to upgrade to 4K the scenes that are added/ replace the scenes that make up the Director's Cut version of the film. There's a noticeable difference in watching the DC and seeing these scenes play compared to the rest of your viewing.
As Ridley Scott has said that the Director's Cut is more publicity stunt than his vision, which is the one released to theaters, it's not necessarily surprising that he'd not spend the effort on these scenes, but it's disappointing when it comes to viewing the included Director's Cut due to the changes in quality. Even had Scott not wanted to oversee the upgrade on those scenes, it would have been appreciated had FOX just done the upgrade themselves to avoid this problem.
While many still prefer the Theatrical Cut, there's nothing inherently wrong with the DC, nor necessarily better. It is, however, a wonderful complimentary viewing experience as a "what might have been," as well as giving us a view of what happened to both the Dallas and Brett characters after their abductions... Which, despite not being necessary, also offers an equally creepy scene as the rest of the film.
Outside this one glaring flaw, watching Alien has never looked so good.

World War Z is one of those rare licensed games that doesn't just happen to match the material, it blows by it, leaving the film in the dust.
In fact, it's much, MUCH closer to the "source-source" material, (the book,) in that it follows along with the titular WWZ by visiting different spots around the globe, each with its own cast of characters.
Truly, however, WWZ the game, doesn't lean too heavily on story, although each of its 4 protagonists in its 4 locations get a background story told via a comic book style cutscene once you've finished a level with them. Each of the 4 locations has a small background told via radio transmission at the selection screen, and a set of transmitted objectives during each mission.
Each location has 3 missions, except Tokyo, which inexplicably launched with two. (My guess is meeting launch deadline, as within 2 weeks of launch, the official Twitter account announced a 3rd mission and new special zombie type arriving in an upcoming update).
That is one difference that doesn't come from either source, but rather video game tropes: special zombies. An unknown 5th is on the way, but currently, there's a Bull- a large SWAT officer that charges, grabs a party member and pummels them (or you,) until taken down. The Lurker, who hides in the shadows and will pin the victim to the ground, clawing away at them. The Screamer, a construction worker with a bullhorn whose screams continue to call in more zombies until he's quieted. Lastly, there's the Gas Bag, a former HAZMAT employee, complete in suit, who releases noxious fumes upon death. Pretty standard fare, in that regard.
What isn't standard fare, (among the zombie side of things,) is the unparalleled size & scope of the zombie swarms re-enacting, in real-time, and in almost every case, interactively, the best scenes of mass zombie movement and attacks from the film.
From flowing like a river through streets, to flinging themselves from great heights in pursuit of prey, to making "pyramids" to scale walls, it's all impressive with no signs of slowdown, even on a base PS4.
And while the comparisons to Left 4 Dead are certainly warranted, I'm not *entirely* certain it's completely fair- in all honesty, I've forgotten much of my playtime in L4D, so I'll leave that for you to decide. Yes, it's an up-to 4 person co-op shooter, although (and IMHO, at least on consoles,) better for being in 3rd person. It also features 8 person versus modes, complete with zombie hordes.
Despite it being 4 person co-op, there are 6 different classes. Each class has its own permanent leveling tree. A gunmaster, explosives expert, medic, ammo support, melee, and an "exterminator" who gains bonuses versus hordes and specials.
Next up is a WIDE variety of weapons. While each class starts with a particular loadout which can't be changed initially, as you level that class, unlocked perks may give you a few different options, but most weapons will have to be found scattered around the maps. Like classes, each main and sidearm weapon will level up with use, unlocking more powerful versions of each of the many available. (Usually between 4 and 8 variants).
After finishing a level, you'll earn some XP that you choose where to spend. Bank it? Unlock a perk for your class? Or, unlock a more powerful variant of your starting or favorite weapon?
Because each class' skill tree only allows for 1 ACTIVE perk per branch, (3 different perks per branch,) playing with one team's gunslinger online may be different than landing on a team with a different player playing as that same class, as each player will personalize a class to their playstyle.
Lastly, gameplay-wise, playing solo in WWZ isn't nearly as awful as similar online co-op games. The bots are generally capable, although far from perfect. They generally hold their own, help appropriately (ie, don't forget to try and save their own skin while attempting to help you,) and can be counted on for revives. Still, they're not above stepping in front of you and taking damage while you're shooting, and occasionally are known to crowd into you, clipping into your body/ view as you use a gun emplacement/ stationary weapon. (Hopping off the weapon and getting back on seems to fix this).
Outside the game, the developers are extremely active with the community, genuinely overwhelmed by the love of the game by fans. They've been asking for feedback, error reporting, and wishlists of what to add, as they plan to continue to support the game for some time.
This is a great game, even just to solo, scratching an itch for a co-op shooter that has been attempted many times since L4D, but not nearly as successfully as WWZ. At a retail price of $40, the few issues are easily forgotten. Had I paid the full $60 AAA price, I'd still be as happy. If the devs keep adding as they've stated, that $40 is going to look like even more of a steal.
Run, don't walk, to add this to your collection.

One of DCs best
on March 29, 2019

Verified Purchase:Yes
Easily one of DCs best offerings.
Jason Momoa is at his best here, and his charisma continues to make Aquaman, the butt of so many jokes throughout the years, one of the most compelling and empathetic characters in DCs film universe.
The film itself is a globe-spanning adventure, from vast deserts to the undersea kingdom of Atlantis, full of humor and incredible action.
Visually, it's amazing, with "The Trench" offering one of the more stunning pieces of eye candy in recent memory during their attack on a small ship carrying our hero.
The biggest issue with the film is a tad too lengthy a movie... or, perhaps a misdirection of focus in its over 2 hour running time.
As there's two main antagonists- Aquaman's brother and his long-time nemesis, Black Manta, they split the time a bit unevenly.
Manta seems the "cooler" of the two, while Oceanmaster is the one that feels more fleshed out. It feels as if the film would have been better-served by dropping one of the two and giving more time to the other.
Still, James Wan "gets" Aquaman in a way that, if DC was smart, would have them racing to lock him up for future films, and putting him in the running to tell even larger stories, perhaps as a frontrunner for the next (or rebooted) Justice League. As far behind as DC is to Marvel currently, as well as losing two of their three "trinity" actors, they need to keep a grip on those that have offered success.

Fun co-op multiplayer

If you enjoyed the Left 4 Dead series, there's a good chance you'll enjoy Earthfall.
That said, if you don't have friends online (no couch co-op) to play with, your mileage may vary here. Even with bots given "expert" settings and enemies turned down, you'll often be left scratching your head as teammates grab items away from you, don't prioritize properly, or miss revive opportunities. It isn't a continuous problem, but it happens frequently enough that it can undercut a good run through a mission.
Still, at the pricepoint Earthfall is offered at, it makes for a solid purchase (or two, as I have done, to gift to a friend,) to sit back and spend an afternoon with a friend or three and help save the Earth from an alien invasion.

Very good!

As someone who usually finds themselves shrugging after finally viewing those universally loved films, I do, despite enjoying SpiderVerse, find myself questioning exactly why it surpassed enjoyment into outright love.
Make no mistake, there is much to enjoy here, from beginning to end, but I simply didn't find it compelling enough to rewatch it immediately, which is, to me, the sign of something truly magical.
The story itself is excellent, and Miles Morales is a wonderful character to take up the "spider-mantle". The problem is that of the two biggest emotional "tugs," the first: (the death of his universe's Spider-Man,) goes from an honest attempt at pulling at the heartstrings to throwaway catalyst far too quickly, as Peter "B" Parker arrives quickly to take on the mentor role (and whose own story occasionally outshines Morales') and makes the blow feel lessened. The second of these emotional attachments takes place, and when it does, you realize that character has had the majority of his narrative related to you via others' words rather than the character's actions being shown to you and allowing you to form your own attachment. You're told to care about him far more than seeing reasons to care about him, and when his reveal takes place, you're seeing Miles' reaction rather than feeling it along with him. In fact, the biggest opportunity to feel that character is essentially a music video- a gorgeous feast for your eyes and ears, but a missed opportunity to fill your heart.
Despite so many missed chances, the storytelling is solid, it's just something I expected more from after so many glowing reviews.
One thing that CANNOT be taken away from SpiderVerse is its art and style. Visually, SpiderVerse is absolutely stunning. It misses no chances to leave you amazed, not just in its originality, but also in its unique takes on what you'd expect from the Marvel characters. It's gorgeous, it's beautiful, it's something you must see, and it's ABSOLUTELY best viewed in 4K. It deserved every recognition it garnered, including its Academy Award.
Worth adding to your library, but maybe set your expectations a bit lower than that of what the critics have stated.

This is a collector's edition of the game that includes a large replica statue of Mjolnir (Thor's hammer,) along with a few other small physical items and some digital "goodies" to redeem for use in the game in the PlayStation Store... it also (as I recall) does NOT include an actual game *disc* you DO get the game, but it will be via a digital code you, again, redeem on PlayStation Store... despite the ridiculousness of including a steelbook *FOR THE DISC* lol (this is done to tempt some into possibly purchasing God of War's regular edition at another $60).

This is not a God of War-themed PS5, like the recent SpiderMan PS5 that sold out quickly.

While I find the lack of the game disc (which costs pennies to print) to be a scummy practice, these high priced, highly-sought collector's editions are becoming necessary by developers. The cost to make these big-budget games rivals that of huge Hollywood productions, while the $60 price paid (now becoming $70) for the "regular" edition of games has been the standard for near 2 decades. (Heck, back in the day when there wasn't an "across the board" standard for video games, some new Nintendo games were being sold up to $100).
So, developers have, more and more, begun relying on these collector's editions to help offset the costs associated with development, because scaling the $60 from 20 years ago to keep up would be closing in on $100 today. By issuing these collector's editions, which sell out to either the mega-fans of the series or characters (or the "sharks" who swoop in, cause them to sell out in a minute after going up for purchase, only to post on eBay for double the price to the actual fans,) this helps bring in cash they'd otherwise lose if they attempted to sell their games at $100 apiece.

There ARE, on occasion, "branded" versions of consoles (like the aforementioned, recent Spider-Man PS5 console,) but they are always clearly marked as the PS5 (or XBox) CONSOLE. Many will include the game (the Spider-Man PS5 is being released to hype up the upcoming Spider-Man 2 video game. The game comes out next month, and as such, does not include the game, because it's not out yet).

So, while the price may have your eyes watering, this is simply the game and both physical and digital goodies for the hardcore God of War fan, but no PS5 console/ system included. As this is becoming more common from developers, please remember, if the console IS included, it will say so, and, in the photos, often likely show the system.

Hope this helps!

Warmest regards!

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G Cell Phone for AT&T: This Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G cell phone can perform more daily routines efficiently and is packed with power while equipped with an intelligent battery that's big enough to share. The 6.9" Infinity-O display creates near-perfect images and features high-quality cameras with 3D depth sensing and 100x Space Zoom capabilities, capturing more details to create a realistic image. Backward-compatible with 4G networks.

Do you get any kind of discount by trading in S9+ for an unlocked S20 Ultra 5G? If so, how much? Also, since my old phone service is with AT&TV Wireless can I transfer info from the S9+ to the new phone and use it?

For the first part of your question- you should receive a discount on your old S9+, as long as it's in working condition and in good shape. How much of a trade in depends on these variables, but I can say that my old S8+ in working order, with no nicks or.scratches netted me $200 towards the S20 Ultra.

As for the 2nd part of your question: yes! Once you bring your phone in and begin the process of registering and setting up your new phone, part of the process will be to transfer your photos, contacts, messages, and apps over to your new phone. This can be a bit of a lengthy process, depending on how much you have on your old phone. To expedite the process, you're best served to backup your photos onto your computer or into the cloud and delete them, as well as any apps you may have on your phone that you no longer use. Some of your apps will continue to download in the background even after you leave with your new phone, but this part of the process took about an hour. And yes, I'm an AT&T customer, as well.

All told, I spent about an hour and a half in store, and some larger apps finished downloading once I was home on my WiFi connection. Good luck on your new phone!

Gather your friends together for wild adventures in JUMANJI: The Video Game for PlayStation 4. Team up with friends locally or online to confront dangerous enemies and avoid deadly traps. New outfits and weapon styles are unlocked as you play so that no two rounds of JUMANJI: The Video Game are ever the same.

Is this a 2 player game?

Jumanji supports up to 4 players locally, so feel free to gather the whole family around the TV!
In order to do so, everyone will need a controller, but local play- as long as everyone has a controller- supports anywhere from someone playing alone, all the way up to 4 players.
I'm unaware of how "busy" the online portion of the game is, but it does also feature online play for 2-4 players.

It's a fun family game, with no major systems to learn, so even the young ones can enjoy it. Our family of 3, including a 6 year old, has had a blast playing together- the only part that may be frustrating to a younger gamer would be a lack of a map; some levels, with twists and turns, may present a challenge until they're learned.

Outside of that, the 3 of us enjoy sitting down to play Jumanji together!

Defy the gruesome odds in World War Z for PlayStation 4. Six class levels provide distinct combat styles, and Swarm Engine technology unleashes massive flocks of zombies for an intense battle galore setting. Aim to be the last squad standing in a fast-paced free-for-all on player-versus-player-versus-zombies mode in World War Z.

does this pro-order coming with the Lobo Weapon Pack???

Yes, but keep in mind the following:
The Lobo pack is nice, but if you don't get it (I had no code with the game, it was just in my inventory,) it's no big deal. Yes, the multi-tool is different, but does the same damage as the machete (and honestly, the machete is cooler, IMHO).
Yes, you get 3 gold varient weapons that do more damage than their base counterparts... but, this is where it gets tricky. Those gold varients are NOT as powerful as the highest level weapons. And THIS is where it's important: those Lobos did not earn XP while using them. So, if you want to eventually unlock the most powerful AK-47 (well, their version of it,) you won't be earning any XP towards it while using the Lobo AK. AND, ATOP THAT, the Lobos are not silenced. While the basic rifle versions eventually earn that as you level, the starting varient pistol begins silenced, while the Lobo doesn't. Most maps, the opening section is almost always set up in a way where silenced weapons are a bonus to have.
So, if you don't get the Lobo pack, you can, (I believe) purchase it separately via PSN, but honestly, they hamstring progress towards the best versions to own.
