I realize that you can download music as an MP.3 these days, but the sound quality doesn't match that of a CD. It simply does not. If you really care to listen to music, buy this CD.

I think I heard their first song back in 1973. Down through the years they've produced many top hits and some of them are on this CD. It has no less than 14 of their best songs. When I listen to them they bring back many memories.

I grew through my teens and 20's with this music. They are all classic tunes that you can still hear on the radio today. All of the tunes are great but the standouts are Machine Gun, Nightshift, Sail On, Easy, and Three Times a Lady. If you love classic rock this is one of the CD's you'll want.

I saw this film at the cinema in 1976 when it was released. At the time I thought it was amazing. It stars Michael York, Jenny Agutter, Richard Jordan, Roscoe Lee Browne, and Farrah Fawcett-Majors.
It takes place in 2274 after many disasters have driven people into a large Domed city. People live in a carefree hedonistic utopia where all of their needs are taken care of by computerized machines.
Theres just one catch. You can't live past the age of 30. On your thirtieth birthday, you must Renew. That means being killed by high energy Lasers, only the people don't know this. If you don't renew and decide to become a runner, you are chased down and killed by Sandmen(York and Jordan).
A series of events takes York and Agutter from the city to the outside remnants of Washington D.C. where they meet Old Man played by Peter Ustinov. If you want to know what really happens next watch the film.

I don't have Netflix, but I'd read some positive reviews in the media and decided to give it a shot. This program really is worth watching!
The show is loosely based on the original with a similar story line. All the names are the same but the real change is that Dr. Smith is now a woman played by Parker Posey. She does an excellent job. The robot is now of alien origin and it's not just one Jupiter 2, but many attached to a large mother ship. Everything is updated. It's worth it to give it a watch!

Directed by William Friedkin( The Exorcist), it's about a couple of New York detectives played by Gene Hackman and Roy Scheider who are out to break a narcotics ring. It won 5 Academy Awards for 1971. It's gritty and has some pretty powerful moments. If you haven't seen it give it a shot.

The story of an outcast Emperor penguin named Mumble. He can't sing but can he sure can dance. I had this film on dvd, but decided to get the Blu-ray version. What a difference! The picture and sound are much better!

This was the first of many outstanding miniseries from HBO. It's about the early days of the NASA space program. From the Mercury program all the way up to the Apollo moon landings. It was produced by Tom Hanks and Stephen Spielberg. The cast has too many to be mentioned, but suffice it to say they are excellent.
I have this on DVD that I bought years ago, but on Blu-Ray it really shines. I've noticed that there were a few changes just for the Blu disk including making it wide screen and improving the EFX.

I didn't get to see these films at the cinema, but I did get to see them on FX cable channel and decided to buy the set!
It's about a group of people who find themselves in a place called the Glade surrounded by the Maze. The story goes from escaping the Maze in the first film to finally finding out that it's all about finding a cure for a plague thats killed the human race and turned the rest into zombies! Scary stuff.
