There are some truly shocking moments throughout the film that will definitely grab your attention.
I watched the original miniseries that starred Tim Curry that came out years ago. I thought that version was creepy but this one is much creepier! A must see!

This film came out in 1973, and it was and still is one of the most controversial films of all time. It was written by William Peter Blatty and directed by William Friedken( The French Connection). The film stars Ellen Burstyn, Max Von Sydow, Lee J. Cobb, and Jason Miller.
It's the story of a young girl who becomes inhabited by a demon. The film goes from trying to find medical reasons for the young girls quickly changing behavior to full catholic Exorcism! I've owned this film on Laser Disk and DVD, watching it on Blu-ray Disk really makes it stand out!

Directed by Katherine Bigelow ( Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty) This is a gritty telling of actual events that took place back in the 1960's. It has a an outstanding cast with John Boyega ( Star Wars films), Will Poulter ( Maze Runner Films and Voyage of the Dawn Trader), Algee Smith, Jason Smith, and John Krazinski.
As I mentioned earlier this is a difficult film to watch. It does show the awful racism and inequality that existed then, and still does exist now - just not as bad as it was then.

But instead of taking place in The European Theater, it takes place in The Pacific Theater as the name implies. The series is based on actual events from such books as Helmet for My Pillow, The Old breed, and others.
The show includes performance s by Rami Malek and Joe Mazzello from Bohemian Rhapsody. They are joined an outstanding cast of others who give us an idea of what went on in the Pacific of World War 2. It's an excellent program that should not be missed!
