Westworld Season 1 got it all started. You get to find out what Westworld is, and how it works. We were introduced to all of the characters played by fine actors including Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, James Marsden, Ed Harris, and the great Anthony Hopkins. All is not what it seems though and Season 1 ends rather violently . The Hosts as the androids are called revolt.
In season 2 we find out why and with fine writing, direction, and acting. The series gives us a glimpse of what could happen if artrificial intelligence ever became self-aware.

I didn't have the chance to see this film at the cinema, but on Blu-ray it looks great.
Captain Marvel is a Kree warrior who has amnesia of another life. Her Earth name is Carol Danvers and is an Air Force test pilot. We get to meet Nick fury as a younger man before the eye patch, and Phil Coulson as a younger SHIELD Agent. Captain Marvel starts off with a conflict with the Skrulls on Earth. They appear to be enemies and invaders at first, but all is not what it seems.
Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Annette Benning, Jude Law, Clark Gregg, and Djimon Hounsou all turn in great performances along with the usual Marvel humor and FX.

It started off kind of slow, but you've got to get to know the characters and set a foundation for the series. Based on all of this I'll end up getting the rest of the series on Blu-ray but now I've got to get see how it all goes....Right?

Dorothy Vaughn ( Octavia Spenser) and Mary Jackson ( Janelle Monae) also work at NASA and are associates of Ms. Johnson. Kevin Costner plays her boss at NASA and Jim Parsons plays her immediate supervisor. All of their performances are outstanding.
It's the story the space program and the people that got us all the way to the moon. John Glenn through to Neal Armstrong depended on the genius of Ms. Johnson to aid them in accomplishing their missions. Especially Glenn and Armstrong.
We see the stupidity of bigotry and the need for it's end.

A new race of creature has landed on the Earth. They are blind but hunt with an extreme sense of hearing. Everyone in the film has to remain extremely quiet and use sign language to communicate - Hence the name A Quiet Place. This film is unique in several ways. It was directed by actor John Krasinski whose wife Emily Blunt also plays his wife in the film. Her performance is outstanding. So is John Krasinski's. The two other characters are their children - one of whom is actually hearing impaired.
There are some truly frightening and suspenseful moments as well as some touching moments. All-in-all a must see film

Rey begins her training under the watchful eye of Luke Skywalker, but has a strange connection with Kylo Ren of the First Order. All of the classic Star Wars characters are present ( except for Han Solo), as well as the characters we met in the Force Awakens. We even find out how much Luke has grown in the Force. But there are some new characters that help to expand the Star Wars universe. There are the exciting moments we've come to expect in previous Star Wars films, but we find there are elements we didn't know about. A must See!
