Might be okay with Windows, but not MacOS

I purchased this after seeing positive reviews online. If you are a Mac user, this is NOT the monitor for you. MacOS is designed for high pixel density monitors. This monitor is not one. The text was not sharp. The difference from my Mac and this monitor was huge. I simply could not use it. I look at text and code all day, so I need a monitor that is sharp and won’t give me headaches. This monitor also is not very bright. I promptly disassembled it and put it back in the box and returned it to the store. Best Buy didn’t charge me a restock fee. So, I was grateful for their service. A nice young lady also helped us when we went to the store to get it. My excitement in getting this monitor may have been quickly shattered, but perhaps this review will help stop other Mac users before they purchase.

Guardians 3 was not the resounding conclusion I had hoped for. I had heard positive things, but it fell flat for my wife and I, and we both enjoyed the saga up to this point. Maybe we will enjoy it more on a rewatch, but we felt like we retread what we already knew of Rocket's story and that it could have been told differently without the need for all of the flashbacks.

It paid off!

I am always skeptical of extended warranties and special extended service programs, but we purchased this one and it paid off. We added Total Tech when we purchased a new dishwasher. It meant we could get the installation for free essentially and have the benefits of Total Tech for the next year. Best Buy stopped selling physical media, so the free shipping benefit was negated after some months of signing up, but it paid off when we had a problem with our old refrigerator, which we did not purchase under the program, nor did we purchase it at Best Buy. Still, we were able to file a service ticket and the tech was local and amazingly friendly, knowledgeable, and pleasant to have in our home. He took care of the issue and we were thrilled. We did not need a new refrigerator and it cost us nothing out of pocket for the service under Total Tech. Now, I do recommend it, but I see Best Buy changed what is covered once again. I wish they would keep a good thing going. It's difficult to recommend something or even keep your membership with it when you have to always review what has changed, espeically when it's more likely that you lose benefits over time rather than gain some nowadays. Oh, well.

It's amazing. I actually had problems with mine. I placed my order through the Best Buy app in store and they went to work immediately filling the order. I waited in the store and within a few minutes, they loaded it into my truck, and I drove it home. Unfortunately, my TV had an issue; I had vertical band flickering appearing randomly on the screen for a split second. It would stop after 15-20 minutes, but it should not do that. I contacted Samsung support and within a week a technician arrived to replace the main board. That didn't fix it. Within another week, two technicians came with a new panel. That did it! Fixed.
I have been watching content on this amazing TV and I am blown away. Coming from an LG WOLED, I can tell you that the difference is evident for me. My LG was seven years old, and it was a 65" while the Samsung is 77". The immersion is there. My biggest complaint with the LG was screen uniformity. Well, no more issues with that on the Samsung. QD-OLED is the truth. It's stunning.
Now, I ignored this TV all of 2023 because I thought it was a Samsung with an LG WOLED panel. But by the early part of 2024 I saw that many reviewers and influencers thought it was the WOLED because that is the case outside of the US. So, once I heard that and saw that this was a Best Buy exclusive that is equivalent to the Samsung S90C, which was my pick for my next upgrade, I had my eye on it. And once the price was right, I went to the store to see it for myself and I was sold. It was right next to an LG C3 in store and while the LG is a very nice TV, I saw benefits in the Samsung that I could not ignore. It's stunning. So, even though it started off on a bad foot, Samsung made good, and I am very happy with my purchase.

I was not the biggest fan of the original film. I wasn't sure it needed a sequel. But I streamed it and I had a really good time with it. I say it is better than the first. Great action. Better character development. Good storytelling. It's a bit long, but that's how movies are nowadays. I had to own it and this SteelBook is stunning. Get it. The film looks and sounds amazing.

If you can still pick this one up, get it! The 4K upgrade here brings the film to life in stunning detail and the packaging is amazing. The SteelBook is just stunning inside and out. Plus, it is packed with playing cards of the stars of the film. Did I mention it looks amazing? Did I also mention the Dolby Atmos sounds amazing! During the gun fight that takes place in the house, I heard bullets all over the room, even overhead there were effects from shots. I've never owned this film on a home media release before, but I have seen it many times. It had been years since I had seen it and I wasn't sure I needed it in my collection, but I am so glad I pulled the trigger (pun intended). :)

May have saved me $140!

I purchased this because suddenly our Car Play wasn't working with either of our phones with existing cables. I tried numerous things to get it working. Finally, I called the dealership, and they told me to bring it in for service and a technician would check it out for $140! I obviously thought that was ridiculous. So, I went to Best Buy in search of an Apple branded cable. They were more expensive than other brands but I wanted a solution, and I didn't want to have to return in frustration. A Best Buy employee saw me and said there were more cables in the cell phone area that might be less expensive. So, I bought this one for less than $10. It may have been $5 or so to be honest. Plugged in this cable and our problems were solved. Car Play was working again. Thank you to that Best Buy employee who steered me toward this cable. I can't say enough about how grateful I was this resolved the issue and at such a low cost.

Stellar animation, great SteelBook, okay movie

I had heard good things about this movie, some saying it is the best TMNT movie. Well, I am not so sure. It looks pretty. Some may not like the animation, but I thought it was a nice change. It can be a bit busy at times though. There are some changes to the lore in this film but I suppose you have to reinvent the franchase to some degree otherwise it is just retelling the same story we know, which is what this film does for the most part with a few minor deviations. Personally, I would watch the other animated film or even the original live-action films before rewatching this one.
The HDR is not on the same level as the new Spider-Man Spider-verse films. It has some punch, but it's pretty dark and the highlights aren't as dazzling. The audio is pretty solid here with a Dolby Atmos audio option.
The SteelBook packaging is a winner. I do live the presentation even though Paramount still doesn't provide any artwork on the discs, featuring a standard blue disc for the Blu-ray and a black disc for the 4K.

Absolutely worth the upgrade to 4K. I have the previous Blu-ray from Scream Factory and I wasn't sure a 4K upgrade would benefit this film much. Boy, was I wrong. The picture is very pleasing. Film grain is intact but not heavy. The reds and lights of the opening scene pop and create a picture with more depth. Details can be seen in faces, clothing, and the effects. Oh, the effects. Though little of the werewolves is shown, what we get looks amazing and the transformation scene has never been more grotesque. The previous Blu-ray is included and it has loads of very interesting special features that I also thoroughly enjoyed after watching the film. The Howling is a classic. Buy it!

I got the slipcover, but I was in the store. Currently, all issued should have the slip. The wrapping is over the slipcover. At some point they might stop issuing slipcovers, but they are on the early runs out there now. So, even ordering online you should receive one.

I have a Samsung 3D capable th, that I have played 3d bluray discs on. My samsung BD payer doesn't function anymore. Will this play 3d discs faithfully?
