Great Gaming and Film Editing monitor

I spent a little more than a month looking for a quality monitor at a reasonable price to use for photo editing in Lightroom. This is a great looking monitor and the image quality is very nice. Its a great monitor all around, so much so that I ended up buying a second matching monitor. I highly recommend this monitor. keep in mind if you buy 2, there was one HDMI and one VGA connection in the back, so i bought a HDMI to VGI cable for higher visual quality. One more thing to keep in mind is this does not have holes in the back for a vesa mount. However, I found a VESA Mount Adapter that allowed me to mount to a VESA mount. This set me back about another $60 but totally worth it.

Its NVIDIA GeForce graphics and Intel Core i7 processor are suitable for virtual reality games, and the 1TB hard drive and 256GB solid-state drive provide extensive storage and fast boot times. This OMEN Obelisk desktop computer's case opens without tools for easy expansion.

Great deal and a serious gaming machine

I was debating on building or buying but this deal was too good to pass up especially by a reputable company like HP. It had everything I wanted and plus it's even liquid cooled! Super quiet and boots up so fast! Build quality is top notch too. I primarily bought this as an upgrade to play the newest flight simulator P3D V4 with addons and this computer plays it pretty flawlessly in 4K!

Classic Mel Brooks

I recently bought this film remembering the funny moments such as "run with mucus" and "ping pong" also "the Inquisition" and especally the "roman red" scene oh this was hilarious in its day. but alas, as we get older this just doesn't seem as funny as it used to. however, if you haven't seen this then you might want to have a needle and thread near you while watching it in case you split your sides because this is comedy at its old days best! from the dawn of man, through the roman empire, and even into space! this fantasy/comedy will delight all those age 17+ perhaps even a little younger as this might seem quite a bit more tame by todays standards. there are a few comments/scenes in this I really wouldn't want kids to hear/see other then that its a really funny film.

Major upgrade

Got 8 delivered last week after they went on sale. Replaced an 8x3tb wd red array (with 1500 runtime hours) in my plex server with them. Formatted and raid 5 they're making a clean 65TB of storage. Xfer of 16tb took around 17 hrs from a different array of 5x8tb wd reds on the same sas expander. (took so long due to raid building happening on the 6805 adaptec controller at the same time) So far so good. Only notable thing about white label vs. red is the power connection. If your power supply outputs 3.3v to sata connectors these drives may not spin up ( i had one that did the other 7 did not) until I clipped the 3.3v lead on my sata power extensions. I also used a small piece of tape on one disk as it was connected directly to PSU connectors and I didn't want to cut the lead to that connector. TLDR: If your white label doesn't show up in bios/partition manager cover the 1st-3rd pins nearest the sata connector with tape or remove the orange lead/3.3v side of your sata power connector or use a 4 pin molex to sata adapter to power the drives.

Marvel's potty-mouthed mercenary anti-hero is back in this laugh- and action-packed sequel. What could possibly go wrong when Deadpool and Cable are forced to put their differences aside and work together? With Zazie Beetz, Morena Baccarin. 119 min. Widescreen; Soundtracks English Dolby Atmos, DVS 5.1, Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1, French Dolby Digital 5.1; Subtitles English (SDH), Spanish, French; gag reel; photo gallery; deleted scenes; extended scenes; featurettes; audio commentary. As fun as the first

We only watched the extended cut so far and have not seen the theatrical cut. I laughed till I cried. Seriously wasn't sure how this one would be. You know, sequels and all. It was awesome! All the style of the first one without a total copy of the plot. They continue to also remake X-Men characters the way they should've been in the 1st place. Haven't laughed this hard in years!
Can only hope that if Disney/Fox happens they have the courage to leave this alone and let the crew continue as is.
If you liked the first one then this is totally worth it.

Not bad, but wish it lived up to the novel

What it’s about?
A dark tower exists that protects the universe from a demonic apocalypse. The tower can be destroyed by the mind of a child. The Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey) is locked in an eternal struggle with the Last Gunslinger (Idris Elba), as one tries to bring the tower down and the other tries to defend it. One child is caught in the middle of it all.
What did I think?
I immediately wanted to watch more of The Dark Tower when the credits rolled. Not because it was a stellar movie, but because I felt like there was SO much we didn’t see. Moviemakers saw fit to compress EIGHT Stephen King books into one movie, leaving the intriguing premise feeling rushed and under-explained. This needs to be a TV show so I can binge the crap out of it rather than a movie that piqued my interest but left me dissatisfied.

CLASSIC FILM GETS SUPERB DVD TREATMENT!
on December 19, 2018

Verified Purchase:Yes
One of the best DVD reissues yet; THIS is how they should be done! Excellent restoration and picture/sound quality along with every possible extra, including reproductions of lobby cards. The extras include the AMC Backstory documentary, publicity stills, marketing information, technical info from director Ronald Neame about the filming of some of the more challenging sequences. But best are the 2 full-length commentary tracks, one with the delightful Neame and then the excellent commentary from stars Stella Stevens, Pamela Sue Martin, and Carol Lynley. These ladies offer a lot of helpful, entertaining tidbits and much historical reference as well. They aren't like the airhead actresses of today; they really know how movies are made (particular kudos to Stella Stevens) and have a generous spirit in sharing them. They also are very tactful in recalling working with the nightmarish Shelley Winters. Great Fun! A truly excellent treatment of a nostalgic classic that left an indelible mark on many, many people. Highly recommended.

Irwin Allen Classic
on December 19, 2018

Still holds up after all these years. Yes, there is some of the 70s schlock, like soap-opera plot lines, overacting, and what are now considered stereotype characters. But it is still suspenseful and entertaining. The special effects remain impressive, especially considering they involve physical models since they had no CGI. A few are cheesy, but that's okay. I remember seeing it in Sensurround in the theater, which involved installing extra subwoofers for enhanced low frequency rumble, which is just what you need with an earthquake movie, right? Well, it was a mildly amusing gimmick in the theater, and not very convincing. You don't miss it here. And, it's good to see many stars in their earlier years, although Ava Gardner looked old and stretched. Her overly dramatic acting didn't help, either, considering hers was not a very likable character to begin with. In many ways, Earthquake helped set the stage for more modern epic disaster movies, so it is well worth seeing to get some perspective on how this genre has evolved.

A great film and a great update

The Towering inferno, one of Irwin Allen's best efforts as movie Producer,
actually probably his best effort considering the other Disaster film that came after in the late 70's
Irwin Allen who was producer of the film also Directed some scenes aswell
even thou John Guillerman was credited as Director for the film
John Directed the action/Disaster scenes, Irwin Directed other scenes
everytime i see this film i cannot get over the performances
Great performances all round, William Holden, Steve McQueen, Paul newman, Faye dunaway, Richard chamberlain
susan Blakely, Robert Vaughn and many others
the new HD transfer from 20TH century fox does look incredible
century fox made the effort for this film no Doubt about it
the picture quality looks very sharp & clear in 2:35:1 widescreen, no Grain or Dirt
plus a new 5.1 Master audio mix & 5.0 surround sound mix
which make a big Difference in the sound quality
plus all the special features and i mean every single extra from the 2 Disc dvd set
has been carried over to this new blu-ray
all the retrospect interviews have been seperated into mini featurettes that can be played together or individually
duration about 2 hours worth
the casting, the filming, the special effects, the editing, the sound, the music score etc
mainly the production crew of the film have been interviewed thou
Irwin Allen, John Guillerman died years and years ago
but some of the cast from the film have also been interviewed, only some
Susan blakely, Robert Vaughn, Richard chamberlain and few others
Faye Dunaway is not interviewed for some reason maybe she declined
William Holden died back in 1980, so did Steve McQueen, and Paul newman passed away some years ago
there's also behind the scenes TV promo of the film
and a TV Backstory of the Towering inferno goes for 30mins
the film runs for 165 mins, there's also Deleted scenes added to this blu-ray about 30mins of them
some of the scenes are interesting and some are pointless
all this on 1 blu-ray Disc incredible
if you love the towering inferno get the blu-ray version, sharp & clear picture quality with the blu-ray version
plus over an hour's worth of extras
5 stars for the film, 5 stars for this new blu-ray

Another triumph from Simon Pegg

I've seen this movie countless times and it's just as fun each time. There is some language and 'situations' that would keep me from letting under 13 year old children (or so) from seeing it, but nothing over the top (aside from a Seth Rogen voiced alien from another planet that is hitching a ride with two British comic nerds to escape the government so he can make it home). I actually badly want a Paul 2 to be made but I have seen no indication that one is forthcoming. All the characters are likable, Seth Rogen does a fantastic job as the voice of Paul and there is even a little plot twist or two to keep it interesting.
It's not going to win any awards, there's not amazing performances here nor is there any deep subplots such that you need to take notes on in order to follow along.
