I really enjoyed this movie. Was very happy to get the steelbook with its very nice artwork. I'd be thrilled if director Cathy Yan gets to do a Birds of Prey sequel. It could use maybe just a minor bit of a better script, but I really like her style and I'd love to see more from her and these characters in this universe.

One of the top nicest looking steelbooks I own. I really like the transparent slipcover trend that also worked really well on Knives Out and recent Halloween and Evil Dead steelbooks.
The picture and audio on the UHD are great. The package is very nice. I bought this movie without having seen before and I don't regret it. I'm not really big on anime, but this is a great movie to have in my collection and the extra features are really interesting.

The publisher, Mill Creek Entertainment, can be a little bit iffy on their releases. This one checks out. Big thanks to them for providing such a great video and audio transfer on this blu-ray.
The steelbook package looks fannntastic. I really like this new (to me) trend of transparent slipcovers over steelbooks. So far I think it always looks great.
Extra content is pretty good and entertaining. A new zoom-panel interview session with some cast and crew, and vintage interviews as well.
A very easy recommend to fans of this movie, or to those who haven't yet seen but suspect they'll love a very-80's-style BMX racing movie called Rad, with a bike dance-off set to Send Me an Angel.

Google, who owns YouTube, has done something terrible to me. They drew me in to three free months of ad-free YouTube and now I don't want to go back. I fell for the trap. If you use YouTube very regularly and can spare the cost, ad free suddenly feels essential when you're used to it.
Now, if YouTube could return the favor and stop recommending hard-right leaning content to anyone who watches Star Wars or video game related videos, that could really help out everybody.
"Don't recommend channel" is a godsend, but it really shouldn't take this much work to filter away so many thumbnails of sad dudes complaining about women in children's films in front of their funko pop collection after I… watched a video game trailer.

This is a very nice looking steelbook. The art looks great all around. The first movie is dumb fun and I think a perfectly great video game movie by those low standards -- and nostalgia probably plays a part in it for me. I had never seen the second movie before buying this set, but I thought it was enjoyable enough for how goofy-terrible it is. I had no hopes or expectations for it. It was better than being boring on top of bad.
I think this set was certainly worthwhile for the first movie alone. I don't mind owning the second one with it.

I can often take or leave a steelbook, but this is one of, or The, nicest looking one I own. The transparent plastic "slipcover" was a nice surprise and it makes the package look even nicer and more premium.
A really nice looking case for one of the best movies of 2019. The picture and audio quality is great. The amount of bonus material, feature length making of, other interviews and deleted scenes, multiple commentaries, are all really great too. I didn't expect it to have this much and I'm really happy with this item.
If the steelbook becomes hard to find, the normal package UHD or blu-ray is still greatly recommended!

This steelbook has a great design. I got this in part because I already had Chapter 2 steelbook from a gift and I saw this one available, but honestly I'm happy to have this regardless because the art on it is very nice.
This does not include a blu-ray disc! Only UHD and a digital copy paper slip. It feels unusual to not have a blu-ray included, but I shouldn't lament as long as they don't start leaving out digital slips as well. And I'll keep wrinkling my face in confusion when new blu-ray releases have DVDs included.

This is a really great looking steelbook made even nicer with a transparent slipcover. It's like an extra step nicer than most normal steelbooks, which I can often just take or leave. The designs on this one and Halloween are fantastic though and I hope Lionsgate puts out some more for their horror catalogue movies.
This includes four discs - a UHD and blu-ray disc for each movie. The 4Ks look and sound great and they are the same as the solo edition UHDs.
There is one minor thing that could have made this perfect. Best Buy had a blu-ray edition of the first Evil Dead with a bonus DVD disc with documentaries and other great content. That's long been out of print and was too limited as a Best Buy exclusive (hmmm. same as this edition, I guess).
It would have been perfect and amazing if that bonus disc could be included here, as the Evil Dead discs don't have much bonus content aside from the commentary track.

Slipcover on a steelbook looks great!

I really like the design of this steelbook, and the transparent slipcover is a great touch. Steelbook editions aren't typically a big deal for me, but this seemed essential for my Halloween movie collection and might be the nicest looking steelbook I own.
The UHD disc looks great. It's the same disc as the normal edition UHD. It could have been a definitive edition of the movie, but there's no option for the original mono audio track (last available in the out of print box set blu-ray collections).
The blu-ray disc included is the same as the one released in 2007 or 2008. I believe it has a different video transfer and extra feature not available in the 35th anniversary blu-ray put out a few years later.

I'm so happy this turned out so well. I've been re-playing the original Tony Hawk games off and on every few years since they came out. They're among the best games ever made, they helped define the game era from which they came, and this new remake feels and looks perfect.
One minor complaint I had at first was the fact that finishing "career mode" (collecting items and fulfilling goals within two minute sessions) spans across all characters. It used to be you could replay these challenges with each new character. Now they remain checked off even when you skate with someone new.
Then I saw that they make up for this by letting you play the career mode challenges any time in the other section of the game, so that fixes that and even makes it a little better, offering speed challenges and online score/rank boards!

One other thing I was very happy about is the sharing of created parks! I do not subscribe to Playstation Plus because I'm just not interested in playing online matches for the most part. I was so relieved to find I can still play and search through shared parks without a Plus membership. They add great replayability and people are already turning out impressive and sometimes funny custom parks just a week into the release.
Highly hugely recommended. Lots of fun. It's so cool to have this perfected remake of a couple games I've loved and revisited so often. I hope the developers get a well-deserved rest, and, um, are prepping a similar release of THPS 3.
