The animated movies of Studio Ghibli, especially the ones directed by Myazaki, are beautiful movies for all ages. Pacing ranges from fast action to slow setting-establishing shots. They're full of character. They don't talk down to the audience. There are many reasons these films are so loved in Japan and tend to win over those who don't care for anime or any animated films, for that matter.
Disney had released the films of Studio Ghibli on disc previously, but these GKIDS releases are better. They have better translations for the subtitles and include extras that had only been on the Japanese releases. If you prefer watching these movies in their native language with subtitles, these are the discs to have.
We're big fans of having the physical discs rather than going with digital only versions. Discs don't rely on an internet connection and you own them - you technically own a digital only version, too, but if the platform/app goes away, you may lose access to it.

We're huge fans of animation, old and new, so this disc was an easy buy. The shorts look beautiful. Disney doesn't seen interested in doing HD remasters for its library of older shorts (unlike the DVD remastering they had done for the much missed Disney Treasures DVD line). A little disappointed that these shorts weren't further remastered for 4K, but we appreciate the blu-ray level remastering.
We're big fans of having the physical discs rather than going with digital only versions. Discs don't rely on an internet connection and you own them - you technically own a digital only version, too, but if the platform/app goes away, you may lose access to it. That being said, this set does include codes for digital versions as a bonus, so you can still have the convenience of digital versions -and- have the discs for the same price.

Only if you love Olaf AND classic cartoon shorts

If you love both Olaf/Frozen and classic, old Disney cartoons, then you will love this and it'll be a decent value. If you only like new animation, then you might be disappointed since the Frozen part is really just a slightly longer short.
We're huge fans of classic and modern Disney animation, so we loved this set. Disney doesn't seem interested in doing many HD remasters of their old cartoon shorts library (like they had done for DVD quality in their Disney Treasures line), so seeing a few here is a treat. We thought the Olaf extended short was cute, and if you have Frozen fans at home, they will probably like it, and hey, you might find that they like the old cartoons, too. Some of them used to be part of Wonderful World of Disney Christmas specials decades ago, so you might enjoy the nostalgia.

Save space and money with this set

This is the 4th time I've bought these Peanuts holiday cartoons. Vhs to DVD to Blu-Ray and now 4K. But our family likes them so much that they're worth having in the best possible quality. If you still have the DVDs only, this is an easy upgrade since the blu-ray versions are not only cleaner than the DVDs but they were remastered in a better way - The DVDs had a lot of line dropouts (outlines sometimes looking fuzzy or transparent) due to too much digital noise reduction being done to make the picture cleaner. The blu-ray versions were redone and fixed that issue. These discs also include extra tv specials that weren't on previous versions including the older blu-ray editions. We've been buying 4K discs even before we have a 4K TV since they all come with blu-ray discs, so I can't comment on the 4K disc quality, but other reviews I've read online say they look good. If you love these specials and have a 4K tv, it's worth the upgrade; especially if you only had the DVD versions. If you plan to get a 4K tv sometime in the future, it's still worth the upgrade since you can watch the blu-rays.

We've had this receiver for about a month now, and it's worked great. Easy set up. Make sure you have banana plugs on your speaker wires. It would be hard to tie in bare wires as space is tight. We had a previous model of Onkyo receiver for years and only upgraded so we'd be 4K proof whenever we upgrade our tv. Great value for what it does. If you just need a receiver for your living room tv and basic 5.1 (or 7.2) speaker set up, this is perfect. Nice layout to the remote.
