Experience survival horror like never before in Resident Evil Village. Elevate each desperate fight to survive by showcasing the most realistic and terrifying graphics to date. The all-new title is the eighth major installment in the storied Resident Evil franchise, which established the survival horror genre nearly 25 years ago. The title is currently in development using Capcom~s proprietary RE Engine, used to create vivid gameplay experiences in hit titles such as Resident Evil~ 7 biohazard, Resident Evil~ 2, Resident Evil~ 3, and Devil May Cry~ 5. With hyper-detailed graphics, intense first-person action and masterful storytelling, the terror has never felt more realistic and inescapable. Set a few years after the horrifying events in the critically acclaimed Resident Evil 7 biohazard, the all-new storyline begins with Ethan Winters and his wife Mia living peacefully in a new location, free from their past nightmares. Just as they are building their new life together, tragedy befalls them once again. Chris Redfield, the legendary hero from the Resident Evil series, is reacquainted with the couple and horribly disrupts their life, spiraling Ethan into chaos. A devastated Ethan finds himself in a remote snow-capped village seeking answers after being thrown into an entirely new nightmare.

Pretty & fun, good RE installment but not the best
on January 2, 2022

Ok, first off I read an article just before release that said that 7 was too scary. The fear factor and tension build up is not good as 7 which was disappointing to me. I absolutely loved 7 in VR and 8 will lend itself beautifully to a VR patch/upgrade.
The first lord segment start to finish is interesting and was fun but felt simple for a RE game. The map is large but makes sense and is easily navigated. The second lord was my favorite part - lots of puzzles and the creep factor was high. I wish it was longer. The third lord - take it or leave it but next time I'll play with subtitles for this section because I have no idea what he said most of the time. The fourth lord area went on for way too long IMO, the map was huge and confusing. The pre-lord 4 fight was obnoxious but the actual fight with the lord was fun. The transition to the end was aggravating.
This is a throwback to earlier Resident Evil games. Ammo conservation plays a noticeable part in Village and "gimmick" fights where they throw you some super-weapon are few and far between. The pre-order bonus was a nice leg up.

Change fate using the powers of a god in WILL: A Wonderful World for PlayStation 4. Read the letters of a variety of characters and rearrange the words to alter fate while being careful not to hurt other characters in the process. WILL: A Wonderful World features a gorgeous art style and a unique story that changes based on player decisions.

It's good by not great

It's a visual novel that's a bit different. You play as a pair of gods that have to ability to shuffle things around in letters and prayers written to you and as a result, manipulate the previous series of events. The new endings are usually better or worse than the initial ending; some are quite tragic and others humorous.

Solve clever puzzles and uncover an intriguing story full of mystery and wonder. With ~light and shadow~ as a core concept, Iris Fall takes players on a monochrome adventure unlike any other. After awakening from a dream, Iris follows a black cat into a dilapidated theater, traveling back and forth through a strange labyrinth of light and shadow. As the story unfolds, Iris begins to realize that everything in this theater seems to have a hidden connection to herself. Striking, gothic visuals beautifully interlace black and white, shadow and light, 2D and 3D across this intriguing story full of mystery and wonder. Iris Fall is a winner of ~Best Visual Art~ and nominated for ~Best Narration~ at the 2019 Taipei Game Show.

Fun but short
on January 2, 2022
Posted by: NotACleverNickname
It's like Alice travelling through an M.C. Escher print while solving puzzles.
It's incredibly short, I managed to beat it within the week while playing what only felt like 10-20 minute sessions. The hardest puzzles are the Rubik style ones and that's only because they take a bit of time to work through rather than straight logic or relational puzzles.
You also jump back and forth between a shadow on the wall and your physical form to progress. While this sounds interesting, the game is so short it really doesn't make a huge impact like the game write up leads you to believe.

In 1802, the merchant ship Obra Dinn set out from London for the Orient with over 200 tons of trade goods. Six months later it hadn't met its rendezvous point at the Cape of Good Hope and was declared lost at sea. Early this morning of October 14th, 1807, the Obra Dinn drifted into port at Falmouth with damaged sails and no visible crew. As insurance investigator for the East India Company's London Office, dispatch immediately to Falmouth, find means to board the ship, and prepare an assessment of damages. Return of the Obra Dinn is a first-person mystery adventure based on exploration and logical deduction.

Casually Paced and Fantastic All Around

I found this game was casually paced and super fun. If you like determining that it was Colonel Mustard in the Library with the Candlestick, this game may be of interest to you.
Upon climbing aboard the vacant Obra Dinn you must determine who the crew and passengers were and what happened to them through flashbacks and by matching everyone to the manifest. You can jump through chapters to piece things together, walk around the scenes to examine them from different angles and sometimes push the edges of each flashback to see what's going on with other crew on a different level of the ship. I mean, that's really it; the game is more about serious observation and inference more than anything.
I played this on my handheld Switch Lite and I have zero complaints. All text was clear, large and easy to read. Controls were easy to learn, fluid and perfect for the Lite.

Hoa is a beautiful puzzle-platforming single-player adventure game that features breathtaking hand-painted art, lovely music, and a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Experience the magic of nature and imagination as you play as the main character, Hoa, on her journey through breath-taking environments back to where it all began. Navigate with a keen eye and solve exploration-based puzzles. While relaxing to the organic rhythm of subtle storytelling and a soundtrack recorded with Budapest Scoring, you~ll fall in love with each scenario Hoa comes across, all while being intrigued by endless little wonders. Be a child - it's easier and harder than it may seem.

Cute but very short
on January 2, 2022

If you like Studio Ghibli and extra light puzzle platformers, Hoa may be for you! It's seriously short - easily sandwiched in between dinner and putting the kids to bed with time enough to do other things. It's cute and the character design and backgrounds are reminiscent of Studio Ghibli works. Hoa is a fuzzy feel good game and nothing is too terribly difficult. There's no death, no bosses and minimal frustrating jumping puzzles. There are no extra collectibles to find in the game - the butterflies are a necessity. That's it, there's really not much more to say.

Ministry of Broadcast is a narrative-driven single player cinematic platformer mixing Orwell~s 1984 with modern reality TV. The game is rife with dark humor, sarcastic quips, and the absurdity of the system. Seemingly built overnight, The Wall has divided both a country in two and a man from his family. To see them again, our ginger-haired protagonist has decided to become a contestant on ~The Wall Show~, a Regime-organized TV show allowing competitors the opportunity to escape to freedom on the other side. However, as he progresses through the camp, our contestant soon realizes exactly how the Regime and the show operate. The promise of freedom is not exactly what it seems

Good for one playthrough at least

A rather dark humored, pixelated puzzle platformer. Make your way through levels filled with obstacles, traps, red herring solutions while sometimes sacrificing your fellow man to get ahead (don't worry, they come back. Mostly.) The game was about 8 hours in length and it was really fun; but there's not a whole lot more to say beyond that. Some of the humor reminds me of early Sierra and LucasArts graphic adventure games. Really the whole overall look of the game is reminiscent of those games as well.

Hypnospace Outlaw is a '90s internet simulator in which players act as Enforcers, volunteer moderators who scour Hypnospace's surreal network of weird and wonderful websites to hunt down wrongdoers while also keeping an eye on their inbox, avoiding viruses and adware, and downloading a plethora of apps that may or may not be useful.

Definitely a unique game

Do you enjoy deep diving in the Google rabbit hole?
Do you think that 1996-2004 was the golden age of the internet?
Do you enjoy .gifs of smiley faces and spinning objects?
Do you go all in with untested home automation products?
If you answered yes to one or more of those questions, Hypnospace Outlaw may be for you! You play as an "enforcer" in a closed web space tracking down those who infringe copyrights, harass others and distribute and implement malicious software and images.
The dedication to and replication of the early internet is amazing. The game primarily takes place in 99-00 and you can see progress and evolution on the different pages as time goes on. There is even a spoof of Clippy, just way more annoying. Hypnospace Outlaw is a great example of a unique, hard to describe, you have to play it kind of game. It's not a text adventure but it is primarily text based. I pre-ordered it solely on the write up because it just sounded so *bizarre*.
I played this using a physical cartridge on a Switch Lite which honestly hampered some of the experience. Using the thumbstick as the mouse and buttons to go back and forth and confirm choices got pretty clunky. After an hour or so using it to try typing on a keyboard (of which you use A LOT) I opted for a stylus which was still not optimal but better. I can see where playing this on Steam, Epic, etc. would give a much better experience. I know the game has had issues in the past with the digital version on Switch and surfing Reddit seems to show things were patched and better but I had some crashing issues while using the cartridge version. Where the game simulates a crash with the OS, the game actually did crash my Switch. Twice. The first time it just booted me back to the home page, the second time it fully locked up the system and I had to do a hard shut down. Crashes aside, I'm fully in the middle on this game, it wasn't great but it wasn't bad, it is worthy of a few hours to play and it's price point.

Daughter Loves These!
on January 2, 2022
Posted by: NotACleverNickname
Verified Purchase:Yes
We've been gifting my 7 year old daughter Scribble Scrubbies since she was 4. They are always a hit and she plays with them for hours a day, for several days at a time. She likes coloring them, washing them and doing it all over again. At this point she's self sufficient with them and can get her own water in the tub, spread out a towel and start playing. She is able to clean the marker off enough and set them out to dry when she's done playing.
As a parent, after she's done I empty the tub for her, run clean water through the line then pump it till air comes out. After 4 years of doing that our original tub is still in great condition and still pumps out cleanly (instead of getting that gross black build-up in the tubing.)
Yes, if you leave the marker on too long the white flocking will not rinse easily. I've tried scrubbing them with Dawn and hot water but at some point, the color doesn't come out. They do get stained after time, but it's very light and once your child puts color back on there with the markers, I promise you they won't notice. Another tip though is ask your child not to color the eyes or heavily around the eyes, they will bleed color for several washings from that spot.

The Nerf Fortnite GL blaster is inspired by the one used in Fortnite, replicating the look of the one from the popular video game. The GL blaster fires big foam Nerf rockets for big battling action! It has a rotating drum that holds up to 6 rockets and fires 1 rocket at a time as you manually move the handle. Push the handle all the way forward -- the drum rotates to place a rocket in firing position. Pull the handle all the way back to launch the rocket at your target. To blast another rocket, move the handle forward and backward again. Includes 6 Official Nerf rockets, enough to fully load the drum. Take on the competition with the big, bold firepower of the Nerf Fortnite GL blaster! Eyewear recommended (not included). Copyright Epic Games. Hasbro and all related terms are trademarks of Hasbro.

Big fun but not without issue.

This thing is huge! It was purchased for my 9 1/2 year old and he almost can't maneuver it. The rockets go further the harder you pull the handle back and he has a problem balancing it in his hand while simultaneously pulling back the post on the front. The orange canisters were a bit difficult to get on and the yellow guards are pretty flimsy and easily get bumped out of place.
