Still a Strong Movie

Iron Man was the film that started it all and it still holds up today. The brilliant use of both practical and digital effects created something incredibly believable and fun.
Seeing this film in 4K is a long overdue treat for Home video and marvel fans alike. While not a True 4K Upgrade, The crispness of the colors and the black levels enhance the film watching experience on this classic and the sound levels are superb. Certainly a great version to own.
It comes with all the original special features of the initial release blu ray plus an HD digital redemption code.

A Strong Reboot

Often times, reboots are worse than the original but in the case of this new Friday the 13th, I feel it was a true return to form and a celebration of the working formula from so long ago. Plus, Jason is far faster and more brutal to give a more foreboading and intimidating antagonist.
If you like slasher movies and want to watch a purely fun horror flick, this is a fun movie to watch and enjoy. And this was a great value at Best Buy, plus $8 to see It: Chapter 2 in theaters. Plus the new lenticular cover is pretty slick

A Good Adaptation of a Great Comic Storyline

These DC Universe animated movies have been consistently enjoyable for the last number of years, adapting popular storylines or sporting wholly original stories. Batman: Hush is an adaptation of what is arguably regarded as the greatest Batman story of all time.
I think in many Regards, it holds up nicely to the book. But it does change quite a few elements from the original story which fairly fundamentally change the arc. I felt the changes worked, but ultimately it was underwhelming compared to the original comic.
The quality of the video and audio is fantastic and the special features are extremely thorough and entertaining. The movie also comes with a complete commentary by the filmmakers and a digital redemption code.
This is definitely worth picking up if you like the comic storyline or if you’re a fan of the animated films.

Good Fun For Hellboy Fans

If I’m being honest, this isn’t a great movie, but it’s also not quite as horrible as everyone makes it sound. It’s really just very generic and by the numbers. There’s some really great design work and definitely feels like it’s pulled straight from the pages of the comic.
The 4K picture and sound quality is pretty good. The set comes with some great special features if you’re a fan of seeing how these kinds of movies are made. Given all the issues to have occurred behind the scenes, I would’ve loved a director commentary on the film.
The set comes with a digital redemption code, but is only usable for Vudu and Fandango Movies which I don’t use. Would prefer a Movies Anywhere redemption code.

A Decent Remake

As with any movie that is a remake of a classic, it will always be compared to the original. Ultimately, I think this 2019 version is a better made film, but doesn’t quite capture the terror and suspense of the original. Now, this could be because the original scared the pants off me as a kid and I still hold on to that memory, but it’s just how I feel.
Ultimately, this is a great film to own on 4K. The film is gorgeously shot with a good cast and comes loaded with interesting special features as well as a digital redemption code.

This film scarred me as a kid, so this one definitely holds a candle of nostalgia for me. Seeing it on 4K, the restoration is absolutely gorgeous. The reds and blacks really jump off the screen and present the cleanest possible image you could imagine.
If you haven’t seen this film, this is a true horror classic that will certainly give you a great viewing experience, especially if you like the 2019 remake. It comes backed with both new and original/vintage special features and making of featurettes, as well as a free digital redemption code.

An Amazing Horror Remake

Hardly ever is a movie better than the book, but It is an exception that to the rule. Loaded with a stellar cast of child actors, the film is truly amazing. Capturing the friendships of the characters with the ‘80s aesthetic and a truly terrifying performance for Pennywise.
Seeing this film on 4K is absolutely the way to experience this film. The black levels are gorgeous and the Dolby Atmos soundmix really puts you into the danger and suspense of the characters. The special features are fairly in-depth and you get a free digital redemption code.

Such a Great Film

American Psycho is one of those films that’s so bizarre and weird that the performances are so thoroughly enjoyable on every level. Especially Christian Bale’s performance.
Seeing it on crystal clear 4K, the reds and blacks really pop off the screen and make the viewing experience vastly improved.
My only complaints are that the digital redemption code was only for a streaming service I don’t use and there were no new special features from the original blu ray release. But getting this for $10 is a great value.

Best Mob Movie Ever

Goodfellas is often held up next to Godfather in competition for the “best mob movie ever”, but I still give it to Goodfellas. I think the characters and dynamic nature of the film is still as captivating as it was when it first came out. Goodfellas is a very entertaining, faster paced film where Godfather really romanticizes the mob life where Goodfellas just feels realer.
This is an amazing set for a great price: the 4K disc, the special edition blu ray copy, and a third special features disc. You also get a free digital redemption code. If you like Goodfellas, then seeing it on 4K is incredibly worth it.
