4 1/2 stars is what I'd actually rate this watch. And the loss of the half is simply a feature no other smart watch has been able to master just yet. That is the consistency of heart rate in movement. I'll come back to that.
I am coming from most recently using a Galaxy Watch 3. Before that, Healbe, Fitbit, Halo, Whoop, etc. I've tried all the brands. The Withings is now at the top.
All of the watches have their niches, but for myself, I've wanted something specific. A smart watch with general metrics, workout tracking, that looks like a nice watch, while not being needed to charge every couple days. For refence, the Samsung was close, but I was charging every 2 days. When trying to guage daily metrics, that charge window would potentially throw off my consistency.
The Withings taunts a 30 day battery. Of course, this is with certain features turned off, which I always like to keep on. I want as much going as possible while still wanting adequate battery life. Cake and eat it, too? Yes. When I set-up the watch, a little over a week ago, I had 45% battery. I've been working out, checking metrics, using the screen, etc. consistently, and I still have 20% battery left. That is amazing to me. Somebody has figured it out. More readings, less charging!
Watch looks sleek and fits any clothing choice. It is comfortable and so far, it hasn't given me the dreaded "skin rash." With every band/watch, after a few days, even with adequate cleaning, I still manage to get a dry rash where the sensor reads. Not fun, and irritating to deal with. So far, so good in escaping that.
The watch menu is easy to navigate. No color or touch, but that's a worthy trade-off in comparison to consistent recharging. I can get everything I need in seconds. n addition, using it with the app opens up even more details. I have paired this with the Withings body scale, and have a great picture of overall health and fitness levels. In addition, it enhances functionality. My Galaxy Watch had a GPS built-in, which was cool on paper, but when I run, I most always have my phone with me and end up using a phone app instead. The Withings does have an on-board GPS, but paired with the app, it syncs up to measure my runs and trails with little input from me. Once again, a worthy trade-off. Also, the app is free. A huge plus in comparison to other in-depth trackers.
ECG and Oxygen readings are welcome. I don't use them often, but it's good to know their availability.
Ok, so back to the half star. As with every watch/band I've used, being in my wrist, whenever I do a gripping movement the heart rate goes awry or doesn't register, and it can take some time to get back on track. This has been unavoidable with wrist tracking. Most weight activities appear non-existent. Usually I have to pair with a chest strap to get more in-depth reading on lifting activities, which are already tough to truly measure. A quick example is I started a chest/arm workout on both my chest strap and the watch. After completion, strap said 600 cals and watch said 76 cals. Most likely is somewhere closer to 600 based off past workouts, but with the constant gripping and squeezing of bars, the heart rate was consistently thrown off. What does end up happening is the data in the app is "adjusted" to be more aligned to the chest strap. I believe this may be when the Withings congregates the watch lift data with the Google Fit integrated data to balance out the readings.
Now, to the credit of this watch, it has been pretty good at recognizing activity. Both time and caloric estimation(cardiovascular activity). Moreso than any other watch/band I've used. Also, as mentioned above, it integrates connected app data perfectly.
In summary, this is a stylish wash with all the features I'm looking for including infrequent charging. I'm thoroughly impressed, and for now, it is the only watch/band I wear. All I need is a stainless band and I'm good to go!

Experience the fun of RF mount content creation with the smallest and lightest EOS R series camera¹, the Canon EOS R100. Excellent still-image capabilities start with its 24.1 Megapixel APS-C size CMOS Image sensor and DIGIC 8 processor, along with Dual Pixel CMOS AF with the ability to detect human faces and focus on their eyes. The EOS R100 also can record Full HD video at up to 60 frames per second, and detailed, high-res 4K from the central area of the sensor at 24 frames per second. The versatility and small size of the RF-S18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM lens gives you the flexibility you desire without taking up your whole camera bag.

Short and sweet, I love this camera! It is my first mirrorless camera and has exceeded my expectations.
Each picture has been sharp, pinpoint focused, and balanced. If I can capture photos like I've been shooting as a novice, I am excited to see what comes up next.
There are some negatives that I'll lay out up front. For my experience, they aren't enough to warrant a lack of star, but they still should be noted. No touch screen. Not a deal breaker for me, because like any manual electronic, once you get used to the interface, it's truly smooth sailing. Next, the camera does not charge when connected to USB-C. That is a bit irritating. If you're doing a time lapse or shooting on low battery, this eliminates the option of using a portable battery pack to get finish up. Have no issue getting extra batteries s that's my usual MO, but that is a letdown. Lastly, transferring is SLOW if connecting vis cable or Wi-fi. Once again, not huge as in-camera transfer in all of my equipment is a last resort. I usually rip directly from the card. So, these are minor flags, but worth noting to any consumer. I imagine these were cut out to get such a gem down to this price point.
Body is sturdy and well made. Feels exactly like higher end mirrorless cameras I've worked with in the past.
Image quality is stunning. Great color. Acute details. In comparison with other cameras I've played with, I'd be gaslighting if I said I could see differences in images.
Menus and options are extremely robust. Menus can vary between modes, but once you get all the options down, there is so much customization to make this camera truly suit your needs. So much control, it's overwhelming.
Low light photography has been decent. As typical, the built-in flash is useable, but not going to produce "magic." Luckily, it has a shoe mount and all the needed ports to add on gear to get whatever shot I'm looking for.
As for 4k, you're only getting 24fps, and there is some cropping that occurs. But, besides that, it's also gorgeous and pops right off the screen. If you drop to 1080p you can pick up some frames if needed.
One major plus is this will work with higher end lenses. Often, when a new "value" camera is made, they make it proprietary so your experience is limited with only so much room for growth. Not here. If you can deal with the minor shortcomings, you can keep upping the level.
As stated, I love this camera. Just paired it with a DJI RSC2 Gimbal, and I look forward to seeing what I can come up with.
From portraits to chasing my son around in sport mode, it's exceeding my expectations in every way. If on the fence, jump over, you won't regret it!

In the summer and throughout the year, we like to set-up outdoor movie nights in the courtyard. My go-to projector has always served me well, but required a stand, focusing and perfect placement on every set-up. The Freestyle has become the new go-to.
Small, bright, with a decent throw distance, there is minimal set-up to get going.
Most impressive is the auto focus and keystone. It really works. Yes, there are manual controls when necessary, but I am amazed at how it can recognize a viewing area and maximize quality automatically. Great if you're not technically sound.
I have a few all-in-one Samsung displays throughout my home, so I've grown to love the Tizen operating system. Now, I have a portable version wherever I want it. Game on the ceiling? Kitchen wall? Hallway? Connect a controller through Bluetooth, pick a service in the gaming hub, and off we go. Just need power and wifi.
On the go? Just a little forethought and you're ready. I do not have the external battery, but I use a power station and tethering through my cellphone. If connection is good, boom, viewing/playing on the car ceiling or park wall. Direct sunlight is tough, to be expected, but the daylight picture is definitely viewable.
I use with headphones and PA speakers, but the internal will also do the trick if needed. No real boom, but clean, clear audio to hear all the nuances.
Having all my entertainment choices and services in a small portable package that I can display anywhere has been quite a treat. I will most likely buy a second unit to get the extended screen. Happy thus far!

The majority of all the smart devices in my home are made by or integrated with Google. Lights, speakers, tablets, etc. This is my first dive into a correlating smartphone. So far, I'm impressed.
Pixel Pro 8 is a great size. I can easily operate and handle with one hand if need be. Materials feel solid and the phone is sleek and aesthetically pleasing.
Turning on and setting up was the easiest experience to date, and I have had many. Even the ESN portion was automated. Being that my information is tied to my Google account, loading a customized backup from my previous phone was seamless. The start-up process has been refined to minimal user assistance, and I love it.
Whenever I get a new phone, it instantly goes in a case, and tempered glass screen protectors are added. I have often had issues with the in-screen fingerprint reader working with screen protectors to the point where it was best not to use it. No issue with the PP8. The screen operates, recognizes, and scrolls with ease with or without the protector.
Speaking of the screen. It's stunning. The consistent 120hz scrolling combined with the bright, vibrant colors make everything pop to my eyes. Videos and pictures look amazing and the HDR on-screen makes a difference vs having to view externally to see how it looks.
In all Android phones, the skeleton operating system is typically the same, but with caveats per manufacturer. There are a few camera modes that are specific to Samsung that I will miss, but it is made up in Google's usage of tools in the Photo app. The camera itself takes absolutely amazing pictures and videos, but once you tinker with them in photos, it crazy what is possible. Unblur(been waiting for this for sometime), object removal, object depth, etc. It's truly impressive. Once again, the camera itself has been taking simply wondrous pictures, some of the best I've seen in a phone, but tie it to the app, and wow.
Going back to my starting sentence, integration in my home devices has been next level. Combining this with a Pixel tablet and a windows computer has made fun and productivity migration simple when transferring from device to device. I can do and connect wherever, whenever.
I have been adjusting to the AI features as we go, watching them improve. While I appreciate them thus far, I feel there is still some work to go on using them more consistently. That is not referring to the photo AI, but the searching and BARD. The predictive text is getting better with every keystroke and the on-the-spot translation is top notch.
There are a few mishaps here and there, but nothing that hasn't been improving with usage. For instance, the Google search bar is positioned on the main screen at the bottom. I prefer it on the top, but there is noway to modify that...for now. Irritating minuscule detail, but one that may be fixed with enough "complaining."
I am a dual phone user/owner. I typically carried two Samsung Phones. I am more than happy to let the Pixel 8 Pro take the lead for a bit and will probably keep up with the line in the future. Bravo to Google.

When it comes to body fat tracking, bio-electrical impedance has, in the past, been the least accurate with the highest chance of drastic swings from reading to reading. While the majority of digital scales will include some form of tracking, they typical still fall in this category.
Withings is different.
Not sure how they do it, but in comparison to a DEXA, it's even closer than hydrostatic and Inbody. With latter using similar technology.
It's sleek and easy to read. It is a bit longer, wider and heavier than a typical digital scale, so keep in mind it may be tougher to tuck away. Being that the design is aesthetically pleasing, I don't mind it staying in the open.
The app read out seems similar to the ZoZo suit and others I've seen. You get a diagram estimating concentrations of body mass. What was surprising is not only was the fat % close to a DEXA, but the diagrams of body mass mappings were similar as well. Being that DEXA scans can become costly, I'm ecstatic with this in-home alternative.
The other readings will help complete a good health profile. The vascular age reading let's me know how my heart compares to my age bracket. My reading is great at the moment, but having it consistently checked keeps me ahead of the curve.
The electrodermal activity was a bit of a mystery at first. But after analyzing and understanding the results, it is another invaluable tool in creating and sustaining a healthy profile. In other measuring tools, watches, bands, etc., I am typically skeptical in any measurement dealing with stress. I don't find myself stressing often, but at certain times of the day, it can go off the charts, so I take those with a grain of salt. Understanding how in compiles here in the EA measurement, I feel like I can confidently put some stock into the reading. Stress is a killer, keep a watch.
Combine this with a solid ECG readout and you can get a complete picture on how you are, and what you need to work on.
Sleek, easy to read and feature packed, this will help in any fitness/wellness endeavor you may have.

My last action camera, the GoPro 10 Black, was excellent...when it worked. When it didn't it was extremely frustrating.
So far, with the Osmo 4, all the hang-ups of my GP don't exist, and in relation to other features, the Osmo is in a league of its own.
First, the givens and the "supposed to". The Osmo works when I need it to, and does what I want it to. No freezes. No stutters. The battery life is true to the display. If it says I have a certain amount, I haven't had a wild swing stating otherwise from video to video. Connection to the app is flawless and does what it says with little to no lag, this includes Android. I feel this was released as a finished product.
Now, the actuals. Battery. Battery life varies from mode to mode, but thus far, I'm impressed. Charges quickly and has given ample notice when a change may be needed. Once again worth mentioning, no wild changes in percentage from minute to minute.
Video. Stellar. Vivid. Gorgeous.
Photos. Rich in color and depth. Beautiful.
There are so many modes and settings to toggle, I still haven't mastered them all. But for whatever type of shot I'm looking to set-up, I've been able to set-up just what I need to get it...the first time.
Another win is the software. Being that I am also a veteran DJI user, I find their software very intuitive and easy to use. Transfer and viewing has been seamless. No oddities when connecting with a USB-C. This includes connecting to Windows. Plugging the camera up, it goes straight to storage with no need to handshake with any other software. Quick and easy. The live view on the phone is amazing. Clean image and virtually no lag. Again, amazed and thrilled in versatility as a content creator.
Another genius feature, is the magnetic mount. Often when changing the GoPro it can be tedious to unscrew, re-screw, unscrew, re-screw attachment to attachment. With this magnet mount I literally keep it in the case, undo the magnet, and connect it to the next thing.
This is such a welcome feature. And the magnets are strong enough that I have no worries of it coming off. This is great. I'm also extremely thankful that the screw base is compatible with all of my GoPro attachments. It would have been such a nuisance to have to re-buy everything just to fit a camera that fits the same dimensions. So just know, all of your GoPro gear should fit the Osmo.
Touchscreens are ultra responsive with no lag, even with screen protectors. And the displys are true to view with the FOV being mind-blowing!
The only thing missing is the 5K video from my Hero Black 10. But I rarely had the display to take full advantage nor did anyplace I was sharing, so not a big deal.
The Osmo is truly ready for whatever you throw at it, and I'm about to throw a lot more. This one is hard to beat!

In the DJI line-up, I have only owned the Minis. Specifically 2 and 3. While I was happy with what they offered, each was always missing one or two features I really wanted, but I understood the sacrifice associated with the size of the drone.
Lately, the one feature I've seen advance is Active Tracking. The closest mini was the 3 Pro, but it came without the lateral avoidance sensors which hindered flight paths. So, that led me to wanting to step-up a class.
It was between a Skydio 2+ and the Air 3. With Skydio exiting the consumer drone business and seeing the advancements of the Air 3, it was easy to choose.
If you're coming from Minis, this is roughly twice the size. It still feels portable, but will need Faa registration. Like the models before, quality and build feel great. No worries flying this one in tougher winds.
In all of the drones I've owned, DJI and others, this was the easiest box to flight I've ever experienced. After the updates, literally connected in seconds, and off we went.
Immediately in flight, the usefulness of 360 sensors became evident. I live near a group of tress and no matter the direction, I received ample warning of clearance.
Now, the main ticket, the active track. Better than I hoped. My last full size drone did a decent job of tracking, but when sprinting, I would outrun it and it would never reconfigure properly. The Air 3, is on it. I feel comfortable going any way and have it keep position. Front, back, side, doesn't matter, it stays where you put it! Couldn't be happier.
Camera is sharp and clean, and the video from drone to controller is still lag free.
Battery lives up to expectations.
I've packed this drone up for a trip, and will be looking to do some more "riskier" shots. With the stability and quality of this drone, I have no worries.

When you don't have a charging port installed in your home, you believe you can rely on the charging points out and about in the city. Turns out, that's easier said than done. Also, if you choose to take your vehicle out on a road trip, you're at the wheel of any random charging point you can find. This is actually turning out to be more of a nuisance than I thought. In searching for a solution, I came across this Rexing charging plug. A home station is being installed, but this is actually what I was looking for for the interim and in a bind.
I may not be able to find a charging station, but I for sure can find an outlet for the most part. So far, there have been no problems connecting the charger to the car and letting it do what it does. The charging speed is what I expected, and it has a great display for verifying I'm getting the fastest transfer possible.
For travel, it's Compact and sturdy. Just like any old extension cord just throw it in the car and I'm good to go. Nothing heavy or bulky to lug around.
If you have an electric vehicle or looking to purchase an electric vehicle, this should be in your must-haves. When something goes wrong with your charging station or charging stations out and about and can always find an outlet and keep on the road. That counts for some peace of mind.

Easily the smallest of my external drives and just as fast as any I put against. This will/has been great for any field work that comes my way. Whether it's in my bag or pocket, it takes up little to no real estate, and if you're not careful, it's very easy to misplace. I've attached a picture to compare with my Samsung portable drive. Easily a quarter size smaller with double the drive space and equivalent speed.
About the speed. It should be noted, if not evident, there are different speed USB-C drives that widely vary in speed, just like the good old standard USB 2/3. I used this drive on my work laptop and nearly gave a negative review based on the transfer speed. But after double checking the specifications, I plugged it into my Gaming PC, and the blazing speeds lived up to it's reputation.
I transferred a 3GB video back and forth and each time took between 3-5 seconds. Impressive considering the speeds I'm normally used to.
Portable power that's sturdy enough to be tossed around. Great drive that lives up to the hype, just make sure you don't misplace it!

This purifier is capable of cleansing an entire livable area, but we mainly use if for the kid's room. Unfortunately, buildings near us have dismissed their non-smoking rules, and opted to open up their policies for some of the newer residents. What that has led to is a wave of harsh smell emanating into the household. Being that we can't control this situation, we wanted to find ways to minimize its effect.
This Shark does wonders for that cause. It has a smaller footprint than our 3-in-1 Max, so it fits perfectly under their desk, with enough space to have effect on the room.
Setup was simple, and we were up in minutes. Filters can be costly, as one of our purifiers requires a filter change every 4-6 months. Having a filter that can last five years is sincerely welcomed by our pocketbooks.
The one addition my wife has enjoyed is the air freshener cartridge that can be installed. Although the odor filter does great for eliminating smells, the freshener aids in keeping the room fresh. Even better, the air freshener cartridge can be adjusted to control scent flow. We keep our on the lowest setting and it permeates throughout several rooms of our home.
My son is going into the 2's and he gets his hands on everything. There is a touch screen for usage, and he couldn't keep away. If you have this issue, there is a lock on the screen that has deterred him...for now. This is the only purifier I have that has this, and it has been a necessary addition going forward.
In summation, this Shark keeps the room smelling clean and fresh with a noticeable difference in the allergic reactions our my kids. From smoke to poopy diapers, the auto sensors act accordingly to rebalance the room in short stretches of time. If you have any type of similar situation, I recommend the purchase.
