This is meant to be an upgrade from an Alienware x15, and it is just that, an upgrade..with a few tradeoffs.
So far, everything I've thrown at this beast has been handled with ease. No hiccups or slowdown. It was about the same with my RTX3070, but the bump in framerates are evident in the M18.
Screen is big and beautiful. Vibrant colors and clean, sharp text and icons.
Build is quality and feels sturdy, housing plenty of connections and ventilation points. The track pad real estate is comfy, and the heat dissipation doesn't cause any discomfort. Usually, with gaming systems, the track pad is useless because the system gets so hot, you typically avoid it, but it's balanced here.
With the connections, you have everything covered. USB, USB-C, HDMI, DP, LAN, etc. While that may seem typical, there usually is a trade-off. For instance, in the x15, I needed to use a provided USB-C adapter to get a proper LAN port, which then turned into buying a HUB to account for the used USB-C port. Issue solved. It takes it all.
Here's the trade-offs from the smaller x15, which most are fairly evident. In my opinion, this is not made to be a portable system. I will use it in that respect occasionally, but from the size, weight and functionality, it serves best as a desktop replacement. Battery is not good, but I have yet to own a high end system with great battery life. If you're gaming, depending on your settings, you're getting 1-3 hours, max. Charger is a hunker in itself, quite huge. All the more reason to keep it stationary.
Not much more to add, if you're looking for a gaming laptop, you know what you're looking for. I can say this system is built for performance and serves that purpose with every component. I've built/owned cheaper systems over the years, but in that cutting cost, you'll eventually have to pay for constant upgrading and repairing. If my x16 is any indication of what this m18 will yield, I don't think that will be the case here. This is easily the one to beat.
I would recommend this to a friend!

These work, they really work, but you absolutely have to be careful. When they're in and on, I can't hear anything except what I'm playing. Seriously, nothing else. This has to be the top when it comes to sound cancelation. If you have to hear other noises, kids, cars, etc., make sure you turn on the ambient noise.
This is not a criticism, but a slight warning on the effectiveness of the product. If there's a crying kid on a plane, pop these in...sound gone.
One cool feature Sony instilled is automatic ambient switching. If you choose to allow location access, the app will turn on ambient noise when in motion or in specific locations. So far, it has work fairly well in my usage, but not perfect. I'm sure they will update over time.
Now, for the most basic feature needing review, the sound. In typical Sony form (my experience), they sound great. Excellent bass response, clean highs and mids with no distortion at high volumes, which by the way, I usually don't need to go too high to get comfortable listening. The app gives eq options, but I didn't need to switch anything as I loved the sound right out of the box.
Same for the fit. Snug and comfortable right out of the box. Worn around the house and in the gym, same level of comfort often forgetting they are in.
Battery is typical, and gets through several workouts without needing to charge up. No complaints here.
In summation, great sound with excellent noise cancelation. Ambient switching is a nice feature, but needs minor refinement. But, they indeed serve their purpose!

I am/was a huge Transformers buff, particularly the 80's era of the franchise. This robot has brought me back to my childhood, while gleefully introducing my children to the franchise.
Listening to the original voice from the 80's, I can't help but smile. The retro look is aesthetically pleasing and the build is sturdy. Letting my 2 year old fidget a bit doesn't give me a single worry.
Ok, once powered up, the fun begins. Lots of actions and autonomous movement controlled by responsive voice commands that are pre programmed into the robot. The points of articulation are well thought out and I'm amazed at how well this moves about. A cool feature that we vicariously found out was the robot is self correcting. My kids accidentally knocked it over and before I could stand him up, he did it on his own!
Watching the motions and details alone justify hanging on to Bumble Bee, but the cherry on top is the manual controls. Using my phone/tablet as a remote and chasing my kids around is another point of joy with this Robot.
Lots of thought went into the functionality and execution of this robot, and I'm having a blast discovering all the intricacies.
One note, has to be mentioned, this model does not transform. Does not affect my fun, just noting what others may not find obvious.

I have used many "true wireless" earbuds and very few actually worked as advertised. Get too far away from the case, split the pair up, interference, etc., whatever the cause, it often ended up with being complacent in what they did do well.
This set is different.
Everything described works flawlessly.
The sound is outstanding. Calls to music to movies, all crystal clear and distortion free. Even at high volumes, which I barely use as 3/4 volume has been enough! The bass really hits and all nuances of my music truly come through. I have used these for Google Meet, phone calls and Zoom and the results are just as good, if not better, than my wired headset. I'm a Samsung user (two phones, tablet and laptop) and these are preferable to my Galaxy Buds.
Another feature that usually works only in theory is the device switching. Not with these. Another note of flawless implementation. They are actually connected to two devices, switching automatically between sources as they are played, without you having to manually connect. Not only that, they know when not to switch, during calls, etc.
I've only charge the case once since using (a week) and it wasn't out of necessity, just habit. So, battery, so far, has been impressive.
The fit is snug and comfortable. They stay put and rarely need to be adjusted.
Touch sensors are customizable and have yet to error.
App adds some added features, but isn't necessary for usage. A negative is lack of a custom EQ, but I can deal with that being they sound so good out of the box.
This is simply a great headset. Sound, build, and execution exceeds my expectations. They walk the walk and live up to the claims they claim.

This replaced my original Odyssey G9, and all the minor issues I experienced there have been corrected and then some! Someone at Samsung was definitely listening.
The obvious...the picture. Beautiful imagery, crisp colors, amazing blacks, and no bleeding. I have always been a late believer to OLED, but once you see it in action, it is undeniable. I have a GeForce graphics card, and like the original G9, G-Sync works just fine. Extremely smooth and no tearing.
Sorely lacking from my original G9 was speakers. Now, I understand that most (including myself) will opt to use a headset when gaming so speakers aren't a necessity, but switching from port to port and having no audio to fall back on, can be a nuisance. There are two speakers in this model, and they are appreciated. They won't be banging any doors down, but they provide an adequate listening experience.
Extra ports are also readily available including the missed USB-C from the original G9. Everything you need to get the screen and the peripherals moving as ap is here.
The last notable is the UI. I also use the Odyssey Ark and a 32' TV/monitor. Both have the Samsung UI, which I have gone to grow fond. And in both of those sets, the first few days were rocky, almost like a configuring period was taking place. After a day or two, we were smooth sailing. I'm experiencing some slowdown in the OLED, but I'm hoping it's the same as the other two. Either way, it is a welcome addition.
There is a hefty price tag attached to this monitor, but with all the added features and OLED screen, it's worth the cost of admission, especially since the original G9 was similarly priced upon launch. This is a superior monitor in every way, and I'll be at a toss up picking with monitor (OLED vs. Ark) I'll be frequenting the most.

Lately I've been noticing a trend in laptops. The need to limit the most basic things in the name of "cost" or necessity. No card slots, no backlit keys, no ss usb, etc. I do not what what such features mean for the bottom line, but I would assume that technology has reached a place of normalcy where these items should just be standard. But, they're not.
This is why I find this Inspiron impressive. It is in the price range of others I've specified, but has everything, everything needed to keep work and play balanced. Card readers, USB-C, SS USB, backlit keyboard, biometrics, all working flawlessly.
Upon powering up and getting going, you're presented with a beautiful, sharp, smooth touch screen display. The ratio is unusual but the extra real estate is put to good use if utilized correctly.
One of my favorite notables is the large trackpad. It seems like a hinderance at first due to it being a change from the norm, but once I got used to it, I appreciate the feature and end up prefering it to the smaller trackpads of my other systems.
Performance wise, it has been flawless. I had a slowdown or two when first getting set-up, but after a restart or two, no issues have persisted.
With the responsive screen, folding back into tablet mode actually feels useful. It feels like an actual tablet instead of the clunky feel of tablets with a bottom heavy keyboard. The balance is on-point.
Work or play(moderate gaming demand at max) this one has all you need and want to maximize the purpose. Great system.

Google recently announced they were canceling support on all third party Home displays. Unfortunately, I have two in my home in optimal places. This was unfortunate, but typical. Luckily, this combo fits the bill for a more than adequate replacement with a formidable excellent tablet packaged in.
Stand-alone tablet performance is top notch. Smooth performance, great touch sensitivity, and after all was updated, no slowdown with useful boost modes on specified apps. Yes, I still would like the option of expandable storage, but for the purpose of this unit, it's not a huge letdown. I appreciate the effort Google put in to basically guide you through optimal apps/usage/set-up. I use Google Meet fairly often, and it goes without saying, this is a top level experience in voice calling on any app. It serves as a great demo of what this is capable of, and all in all, it's very impressive.
Now, for my main purpose, a Home Display replacement. Combined with the dock, this is where I find the devices shine. In addition to all of the features I once had, I have even deeper control of my Home devices. It fit right into the ecosystem and after a few efforts to get the device names together, it's good to go. The sound is better than my last unit, and the connection between the tablet and the dock is surprisingly sturdy and easy to maneuver should I need to use the tablet alone.
If you are looking for a great tablet with integration in all Google and Microsoft has to offer, this is it. If you're looking to add another lead device into your Google Home ecosystem, this is it. Combining the two is definitely a gem.

Before this monitor, I was using a 31.5" standard monitor which I connected to a BT speaker and a Chromecast to achieve the same functionality. The M80C has replaced that set-up and then some.
I also have the Odyssey Ark, and in comparison, I find myself noting the M80C is a "mostly" satisfying smaller version of that monitor. It has a great picture, and I can use it independetly of everything except internet. Upon initial set-up, I had a few hang-ups, but once the Smart Hub finished updated, I have had an error-free experience that has me thoroughly enjoying the built-in operating system. It's customizable, and keeps me integrated with all my other devices. One feature I have grown to absolutely cherish is the gaming hub. Now, I just leave a controller near this monitor, and when I'm looking to game away from my family, I have another place I can pick-up and go.
There are so many other useful features they packed into this unit, it's hard to comment on them all. I'll just go over a few.
Stand and build is sturdy and aesthetically pleasing. The stand's adjustability frees up more real estate on my desk and fits whatever angle I need.
Camera works great, and can be removed when not in use if safety is a concern.
Picture is stunning and colors pop in content and in work.
Tons of apps.
With all the good, there are a few notables omissions that I wonder about. Namely, the screen tops out at 60hz. For TV, work, and some games, that will be fine using 4K, but if you are advertising as a gaming device, it should at least hit 144hz with lower resolution.
The speakers and adaptive sound work, but the sound is not full. They get loud, but the soundscape is lacking. But hey, at least a "monitor" has speakers.
Lastly, I'm a Google guy. Yes, my Samsung phones integrate well, but for voice, if you have Alexa, you should have Google as a choice. I do occasionally use Bixby, but for home integration, this is now outside of my Google ecosystem. Odd omission.
Those pointers are notable, but not enough to diminish the use and niche of this TV/monitor. I love the package it brings and it makes a great addition to the room it lives in.

At any given time, I have several different apps used for editing open and in use. Video, audio creation, music production, etc. and I often worry about Ram specifications. I read all the time that 16GB is sufficient, but when the slowdowns hit, that's hard to accept.
For specifics, I use Magix Samplitude X5 for audio editing, Magix Video Pro X for video, Reason 11 for audio production, Affinity suite for refining, and a few other programs for odds and ends capabilities.
Once again, I will keep these open, several at a time bogging down my memory.
After a very simple install, everything is opening faster and running smooth as ever. Yes, I'm in the honeymoon phase of the hardware, but I'm impressed so far.
Memory itself feels like it is made with quality and the casing is far and away better than what I originally had installed.
I look forward to the added convenience that having this added boost will provide. If you use a lot of memory hogging programs like I do, grab some extra memory, you'll be glad you did.

Admittingly, I am a "icon hoarder." My desktop is filled with programs, files, folders, shortcuts, music, etc. This makes actually finding and using a program cumbersome, even when arranged by name/type. This controller is solving that issue day by day without having to do the painstaking task of cleaning my desktop up.
Yes, I do streaming, but my real use is editing. From video to voiceovers, I have a multitude of programs I use to record, refine and master various projects. Instead of save and search, I just hit the button of the next program in the chain of the workflow.
The app is easy to use and has a level of depth to usage. I still am practicing creating specific macros, but the basics of program startup is worth the cost alone.
The interface is sharp and accents my desk nicely. The icons are bright and clean and easy to see in any lighting condition.
Build is sturdy and has a quality heft to it. The buttons are responsive and function is instant.
Also, if it isn't clear in any demos, you can make several pages, each with a different purpose. One for program initiation, another page for functionality, etc. Endless combinations if you put the time in.
The only downside, and a very minor one, is the stand. It connects just fine and looks great, but for my desk, it isn't sturdy enough for the button press. If I press a button, it slides. Maybe adding some gripper foam underneath will solve it, but for now, when I use the stand, I have to support it with my free hand when I need to press a button. Not major, just a minor nuisance.
Anyways, great product and I am enjoying the efficiency it provides!
