Why is it $131.00.

That's a great question! I'm guessing you think $131.00 is on the high side? Apart from the R&D, the tooling, the testing and everything else involved with making a cable, there's also the materials. NRG-X3 uses our proprietary LGC copper, which ensures excellent performance, and provides an audible improvement over an OEM power cable (the cable that comes in the box). If you compare the difference between, say, a $2,000.00 amplifier and a $3,000.00 amplifier, and then compare the difference between the $2,000.00 amplifier hooked up with a 10 ft. NRG-X3 and the $3,000.00 amplifier hooked up with its OEM power cable, I think you'll find that $131.00 represents an incredible value.

I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you asking if Type 4 is only available with banana plugs? No, it can be ordered with spade connectors, too. Or depending on the terminals on your amp & speakers, you could use bare wire.

what is the difference between the 'narrow' and 'wide' versions of the 90 HDMI adapter?

The "Wide" adapter has the wide part of the plug closest to the female jack. The "Narrow" adapter has the narrow part of the plug closest to the female jack.

If the HDMI port on your TV is oriented with the wide part on top (and the narrow part below) the "Wide" adapter will point up and the "Narrow" adapter will point down. Obviously if the TV's HDMI jack is oriented the other way (upside down) these positions will be reversed.

This is we don't call the adapters "up" and "down" because it depends how the TV's HDMI jack is oriented.

Is this the same as converting to a aux ? Because my tv only has digital out and my speaker set up only uses aux wit this alow me to conect my speakers to my tv?

No. The TV output is digital. The speaker's 'AUX' input is analog. The cable cannot convert digital to analog. If the TV does not have an analog output or the speakers do not have a digital input, you need a piece of electronics to convert the digital signal to analog.

I'm pretty sure the 3m length of AudioQuest HDMI cables are not braided. The product photo on Best Buy's site shows a braided cable.. so if someone can confirm this that would be awesome. Thx in advance.

Cinnamon HDMI cables 0.6 m. through 3.0 m. feature a braided jacket. 5.0 m. and longer feature an in-wall rated PVC jacket.
