Is this Water Proof?
Yes, the Smart Remote is waterproof down to 33 feet. Note though that while the Smart Remote and/or the GoPro it's connected to are under water, it's very likely that the connection will not be maintained since water can scatter the signals.

how long does the battery last because our camera keeps dying or cutting itself off during the middle of our live streaming
Battery life will depend on which GoPro model you're using and the settings you choose. Higher resolutions and frame rates use more power than lower ones do. If you have issues with the GoPro turning off during live streaming, there could be other issues like connectivity happening. As a test, you can try providing external power to the GoPro using the USB-C cable to see if the issues continue.

can this be hooked up to a video switch?
When used with the Media Mod, you can output an HDMI signal. If your switcher is able to accept an HDMI input, then you should be able to connect the HERO8 Black with your system.

Will this Go Pro work for youtubing? Does this record in 4k resolution? If this does record in 4k, does this come with any type of cable to connect my gopro to a tv or pc to watch my videos in 4k?
This item is the Smart Remote, which can be used to control a variety of GoPro cameras remotely. It's not a listing for the camera itself. If you are looking for a GoPro camera that can record in 4K, take a look at the HERO8 Black, the HERO7 Black, or the HERO7 Silver. They all can record in 4K and would be great for creating videos for YouTube. All GoPro cameras include a cable that will allow you to transfer your photos and videos to your computer. For a live view on a television directly from the GoPro though, you'll need to use a separate HDMI cable. The HERO8 Black (when also used with the new Media Mod) and the HERO7 Black have that option.
