How is it for the winter like snowmobiling?

It's great for snowmobiling. The one thing to keep an eye on is that all lithium batteries (like the ones used in GoPros) can drain quicker in colder temps than they would when it's warmer. If you keep the GoPro warm - like in an interior pocket on your coat - between shots, you'll maximize the battery life.

Can you do a video with selfie mode on this camera ?

The HERO does not have a front facing screen where you can see what's being shot, but the wide field of view makes taking a selfie very easy anyway - if you aim it anywhere near yourself, you'll be in the shot. If you want to make sure you're getting the shot you want though, you can pair the GoPro to your smartphone using the GoPro app. Once you've done that, you can see what the GoPro sees on your phone, and you can even switch between photo and video modes, take photos, and start and stop recording, all from the app.

If the GoPro is connected to the Handler, the Handler itself will float the GoPro. There is no need to attach the Floaty as well.

Can the Gopro white record in a loop?

The HERO7 White does not have the looping feature. Looping is available on the HERO7 Black.

Can you control the playback with the remote? The Hero 7 Black is difficult to control when hooked up through HDMI to the TV. Scrolling from one clip to the next.

With the HDMI output hooked up, the controls on the camera itself are going to be the only way to adjust the playback.

Can I use this one to do mud run or spartan races like where you have to dipped yourself in water or mud

Yes! Keep the doors closed the whole time (keeping the GoPro in the frame it comes with will help with that) and you should be fine. When the race is over, be sure to hose down the GoPro with clean water.

is it a go pro hero 7 if not what hero is it

This is the GoPro HERO, which launched in March 2018 after the HERO6 Black came out, and before the HERO7 models debuted. It is sometimes called the HERO (2018).
