Yes you can. The HERO uses the same batteries that the HERO5 Black and the HERO6 Black use.

I record weightlifting videos for my instagram account. Would this be an upgrade over using the video camera on my iphone 7 plus? Thanks!

The HERO5 shoots in 4K, which is a higher resolution than many phones. Also, it's easy to mount on nearby equipment to get the angle you're looking for, and it can be controlled by voice commands.

Does it has an option to set a safety perimeter not to wander outside of it?

If the Karma gets too far away, it will alert you that it is losing connection to the Controller. If the connection is lost, then the Karma will hover in place for about 10 seconds as it tries to reestablish the connection. If it can't reestablish the connection, it will return to home (the launch location).

Yes it can. There are mounting rings that will allow you to connect the Grip to other mounts like the Chesty or the Seeker backpack.

what gimbal would work best and will a gimbal listed for a hero 5 work

The HERO is not compatible with the GoPro Karma Grip gimbal, but there may be other brands that have a gimbal that would work with the HERO.

What is the largest GB (example 128GB) micro SD card I can use with the GoPro HERO5 Black 4K?

We've tested the camera with cards with cards up to 128GB.

I’m an Uber driver, looking for a reliable dash cam with superb video quality. I’ve researched several dash cams, but most or all lack quality when it comes to video recording. Would the GoPro HERO5 4K be my best bet?

The HERO5 does shoot in 4K and it does have a looping feature, which is a great feature to have in a dashcam. Definitely one you should look at.

Hi, just got the GoPro hero HD and used it for the first time in the water, now it won’t turn on and it’s not charging. Is it not waterproof? I thought it was.

The new HERO is waterproof as long as the doors are sealed and remain closed. If you're having issues getting the camera to power on, there are some tips at https://gopro.com/help/articles/solutions_troubleshooting/HERO5-Black-Will-Not-Power-On that may help.

Do all Go Pro Hero take an external microphone?

Sorry, but the new HERO is not compatible with our mic adapter, so it can not connect to an external mic.
