Hi, What is the approximately battery life of the HERO 11 Mini?

It depends on the settings you choose. Higher resolutions and higher frame rates tends to use more power. At the higher end of the settings (4K/120fps) you should get about 50 minutes of recording time on a full charge. If you opt for some lower settings (1080p/30fps), you can get close to two hours of recording time.

Can this mount to a standard camcorder tripod?

The MAX uses the GoPro mounting system, which is different than the screw style system used on standard tripods. There are adapters though that allow for GoPro cameras to connect to standard tripods that are sold separately.

When the HERO8 is in the protective housing, it can not be used with the Media Mod or the Display Mod. The Light Mod can be used separately from the camera, so while there is not a mount on the protective housing to attach the Light Mod to, the Light Mod could be used separately at the same time.

Battery life depends on the settings you choose, but you should get between about 78 minutes and 115 minutes of battery life on a full charge.

Will the camera overwrite if sd card fills (like a dashcam)?

The MAX does not have a looping feature that overwrites memory automatically. That feature is found on several of the HERO models of GoPro cameras, including the HERO10 Black.

I'm new to GoPro cameras, but considering purchasing the HERO10. Does the purchase come with any type of software package to view/download/edit the photos and videos? If not, are there any recommendations for video editing software to use with the HERO?

You can use the GoPro Quik app to save, view and edit photos and videos recorded on your GoPro using your smartphone. You can also transfer the files to your computer from the SD card the photos and videos are saved to in the camera. Once the files are in your computer, you can use nearly all editing programs (iMovie, Premiere, etc.) to edit the content.
