Either one is a great option. The HERO11 Black has some more advanced stabilization options though that may be helpful for use when mounted to your helmet, one a Chesty, or when mounted to the bike itself.

I'm disappointed by the non-removable battery. Is there a weatherproof way to attach external power?

There is not a way to charge the HERO11 Black Mini which also allows the camera to be waterproof. If you need a removable battery, the HERO11 Black has that feature, but like the Mini, it will not be waterproof while connected to external power.

Does the recording function allow you to pause and restart during the same video?

There is not a pause function while recording. The HERO9 Black treats each recording as a separate file, so whenever you stop recording, it will create a new file. You are able to join those files together into a single edit later on though.

will this work with reelsteady go stabilization?

The content shot on the HERO11 Black Mini is not compatible with the ReelSteady GO software. HERO11 Black content will work though.

Does the GoPro 11 have a connect for a mini HDMI?
