GoPro - Protective Housing for HERO8 - Black
Keep your camera safe with this GoPro protective housing for HERO8 cameras. Does this housing have a way to attach a lanyard to it?
There's not a dedicated loop for the lanyard, but many users will loop a lanyard through one of the fingers on the bottom of the housing.

Would this work on a Gopro hero 7 black? I know it's for the hero 9 but it looks like the same threading as on the hero 7 black.
Sorry, but the Max Lens Mod will not work with the HERO7 Black. It's designed to work with the HERO9 Black.

Yes. Look for the GoPro Quik app. The Quik app allows you to control your GoPro and edit your photos and videos.

This charger is designed to work only with the HERO9 Black's batteries. For the HERO5 batteries, you'll want to look for the charger designed specifically for that camera and those batteries.

If you're planning to live stream, the HERO7 Silver is not going to be able to do that natively. You'll want to check out the HERO7 Black or the HERO8 Black and HERO9 Black models for that function.

Is there a difference between hero9 streaming and hero9 5k?
There's just one HERO9 Black. It does streaming AND it does 5K.

Many mic brands will work with the HERO8 Black, including Rode, Sennheiser, Sony, Shure, Countryman, Sound Professionals, and Opteka. We have list of specific models we recommend on the GoPro site. Note that to connect an external mic, you'll need to use the GoPro Mic Adapter or the Media Mod for the HERO8 Black.

Since the Hero9 is Waterproof to 33ft, do you still need a waterproof case over it? I see many people mentioning purchasing them, but I don’t understand why if the camera is waterproof.
The HERO9 Black is waterproof down to 33 feet without any extra housing. Some other customers may be planning to take their GoPro cameras scuba diving where they would go deeper than 33 feet, which is why they would need the extra protection. Also, some customers put the GoPro in situations where damage can occur to the camera, like off-road racing where rocks or other debris can hit the camera. The housing can provide extra protection in these situations as well.
