Will these work in hero 8?
The HERO9 Black batteries are a different size and have different specs than the previous batteries. They will not work with the HERO8 Black or other GoPro cameras.

What is the loop time. And can it be plugged into a USB port to save the battery?
The MAX does not have a looping feature. That features is found in many of the GoPro HERO models. The MAX can be powered externally, but note that if you are recording in a 360 mode with the MAX, you will likely be able to see that power source and cable in the shot.

I want to mount a 360 VR Go pro Max in an eagles nest to stream live 24/7. We have box with power, PC and internet few feet from nest. Can camera run continuously with batty removed but cam plugged into wall? also is SD card needed if streaming out? thx
Yes, the MAX can stream continuously without a battery as long as it has external power - subject to any limitations your streaming platform may have on the duration of streams they support. An SD card is not needed for streams.

Does the image have a fish eye appearance?
It can if that's what you want. The HERO7 Black offers a selection of field of view options from wide angles to narrow.

I have a hero7 and only just got it. Linked to phone. Camera has frozen. Can I reboot.
You should be able to reset the HERO7 Silver by pressing and holding the Mode button on the side of the camera. After about 10 seconds, it should reset. Freezing is often linked to errors in the firmware on the camera or may be linked to the SD card being used in the camera. After restarting the camera, try doing a manual update on the camera's firmware. You'll find those instruction on the Updates page on the GoPro site. There is also a list of recommended SD cards on the GoPro site.

Yes, you can power the camera using an external power supply through the USB-C port on the camera. Note that since the door on the camera will need to be open for this connection, the camera will not be waterproof when this setup is used.

Can you live stream via instagram and Facebook?
Live streaming is not a supported feature on the Fusion camera. Live streaming is currently supported on the HERO7 Black, HERO8 Black, HERO9 Black, and the MAX. With those cameras, live streaming to Facebook, YouTube, the GoPro subscription platform, Twitch, and other platforms is supported.
