The HERO4 is a different size and shape than the models that the Super Suit is designed for, so the Super Suit won't work with the HERO4.

how do you turn on/off stabilization in Hero mode? - i don't see anything in "preferences" '
When you're in Hero mode, click on the Video settings at the bottom center of your screen. On the next screen, click the pencil icon to edit the video settings. One of the options will be Max HyperSmooth. You can click on that option to turn the stabilization on or off.

It will work on flat surfaces that are able to create a seal. Glass, metal and fiberglass are good examples. There's not a max weight rating for this mount, but it is designed to hold a GoPro camera at 150+ mph.
