... can I use my DVD player with this unit....? ..I don't see any connections on the back of this unit that would accept my DVD player.....

You would need an RCA to HDMI converter as the TU690T only offers HDMI, USB, 1 digital optical audio input, and an ethernet port.

Are both HDMI ports CEC enabled? Not eARC I understand only one of them supports eArc.

Yes, both HDMI ports are CEC-enabled. You will want to ensure you have Anynet+ enabled to ensure it works properly. To do so, go to Settings (All Settings) > General (Connection). Select External Device Manager, and then select Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC).
