Does this sound bar connect to Samsung 55 Class 8000 Series LED 4K UHD Smart TV so 1 remote can be used? Also can they be attached together on the wall?

Hi Vdf131! Yes, the HW-A550 soundbar can connect to the Samsung 55" AU8000 using digital optical audio or HDMI ARC allowing you to use the Samsung TV remote to control the soundbar. The HW-A550 includes mounting hardware designed to secure the soundbar direct to the wall. Since HW-Q65T has upfiring speakers, shouldn't it be it 7.1.2?

Hi teeks! Thank you for inquiring about the HW-Q65T. This model does not feature top firing or upward firing speakers. This 7.1ch system features a 5.0ch soundbar. The front left, right, and center channel are located in the front of the soundbar. Built into the top of the soundbar is Samsung's Acoustic Beam technology designed to move the sound with the action on the screen for a more immersive surround sound experience. With the addition of a wireless subwoofer and rear speaker kit, this brings the HW-Q65T soundbar system to 7.1ch. For Dolby Atmos Support, check out the 2021 HW-Q600A featuring upward firing speakers bringing an enhanced surround sound experience.

Can I pair my wireless headphones to this soundbar?

Hi MBR! The HW-Q600A does not transmit a Bluetooth signal allowing you to connect wireless headphones for listening. This model is only designed to receive a Bluetooth signal for streaming your favorite audio through the soundbar.

Q1: If the attached TV is turned off, does the HW-Q900A still advertise as an AirPlay2 target? Q2: If yes, if I stream audio from my iPhone via AirPlay2 to the HW-Q900A, will it turn on the attached TV, or will the TV remain turned off?

Hi VoiceOfUnreason! The HW-Q900A features built in Airlplay technology, separate from the TV. If the TV is turned off, you can still utilize the Airplay connection to the soundbar without the TV powering itself on.

Is there an option to add Dolby Atmos support to HW-Q65T using Samsung's satellite speakers near the ceiling (like SWA-8500S/SWA-9100S)?

Hi teeks! The HW-Q65T includes its own set of wireless rear speakers and will not support an additional pair. This model is not compatible with Dolby Atmos technology. Considering upgrade to Samsung QN85A QLED TV. Apparently, it doesn't support Atmos. Does this mean Q950A soundbar will not output Atmos if using native Netflix app on the TV? Does my streaming device have to be connected to the soundbar & not TV?

Hi BillyBob! The QN85 Neo QLED TV from Samsung supports eARC technology allowing you to pass uncompressed Dolby Atmos signals to compatible external audio devices. When paired with the HW-Q950A soundbar, you will experience no issues hearing all of the immersive surround sound provided by Dolby Atmos. External devices can be connected direct to the TV. All audio from the TV will pass through the HDMI connection to the soundbar improving your audio experience.

Hi ron! The HW-Q65T is not brand restricted and is compatible with HDMI, digital optical, and Bluetooth wireless audio connections. Check the back of your TV, or consult the user manual if needed, to determine if your TV supports one of these three audio connections for compatibility with the HW-Q65T Samsung Soundbar.
