Hey Novice - A 2.1 soundbar has a left and right channel (dedicated speakers) and the .1 or any number after the point is the low level or subwoofers in a setup. . A soundbar having 3.1 has the left , right and a dedicated center channel for your vocals , giving you better clarity for dialog and a subwoofer for bass. ^Jason

if the t.v. is used solely for streaming service via wifi without service from a cable provider, will the t.v. need the 4k wire to operate- or what resolution will the picture be in without the 4k cable? In essence, are there any additional items needed
