I want to mount to a brick wall over fireplace with lag bolts. Any heads up?

We advise against it. The heat and soot are two things that are really bad for TVs, and both are often aimed at televisions that hang over a fireplace.

Of course, it may be that nothing happens, or that you might get years of enjoyment. But we really do recommend against it for those reasons.

Try a different wall, or discuss it further with a contractor or installer who might be able to offer some safeguards or alternatives.

Yes, you can connect using the digital tuner for over-the-air local broadcasts, and connect to a Satellite Box.

is it true that only Samsung 4k is able to receive the direc tv 4k signal

The Samsung models can accept a DirectTV 4K signal when they are available.

We can't speak for other manufacturers or other non-Samsung models.

This model will have an audio output (both digital and analog optiosn are available), but there is not a headphone jack on this model.

You can connect to either the TV or the cable box using digital cable or analog cable.

Digital cable's benefit is that the signal won't degrade over longer distances.

That cannot be done with this model. You can control up to 5 Samsung "Shape" speakers (sold separately), but this unit contains an 8.1 soundbar and subwoofer.

How can I tell if its working

I have the soundbar with the w-less woofer but the sounds is the same wheater I am using it or tjust the speakers in my Samsung tv. how can I check to see if its hooked up properly?

There will be a "Link" indicator if it's connected.

If you need to re-connect the wireless Sub to the head unit, check out the instructions on Page 12 of the owner's manual.
