siize of picture

on some stations the picture is missing at top and bottom
This may be due to the aspect ratio settings, and some channels - particularly older movies which have very(!) wide screen sizes - this will always be normal, since that's the way the film was mastered. So while in many cases this can be fixed, in some cases it will just "always be".

First, check to make sure your television's video settings for "Aspect Ratio" are set at "widescreen" or "16x9".

Then, check your cable/satellite box to make sure that the aspect ratio settings for the outgoing picture is also set at 16x9.

If it still occurs, that's going to be an issue inherent with the broadcasting (that's how the picture is transmitted - with the lines) and no settings in the television will change that.

If we can help further, please reach out here and we'll be happy to assist the best we can.

what do I connect the HDMI cable to? The tv to what?

Well, you can connect many sorts of devices to your televisions via HDMI cable, which carries both video and audio signals to the television.

Cable/Satellite boxes, Blu-Ray players, Home Theater systems, Game consoles, some computers and other devices connect directly to the television with USB connections.

What is the input lag?

Curious in regards to gaming!
This is not a measurement that Samsung advertises. Sorry, but we are unable to answer this inquiry.

What we can say is that you can reduce any existing lag by changing the name of your gaming input to "Game", which should help with fast games and quick response.

can i use it in a country where they have 220w instead of 110?

We recommend purchasing your television in the region that you'll be using it most.

You can get an adapter to convert the power, however we recommend getting a high quality power converter.

If my Home theater receiver do not have HDMI option, Can I send the Audio out from the TV to receiver via optical cable ?

I have yamaha RX-V795a receiver which do not have the HDMI option. Can I take the audio out from the TV via optical / digital audio cable into the receiver and get the same sound quality in 2D & 3D viewing?
I already has 5.1 speakers systems in place for the current rear projection TV.
Can I view the regular DVD (Not the Blue ray) on this TV without HDMI connection (In 2D & 3D) format?
Not all Home Theater systems have the option of sending audio from the TV using HDMI.

The optical cable option will work provided your receiver accepts an optical input. If not, the analog signal from the TV will send the audio just fine that way, also. However, for that, you may need a 3.5mm male to RCA cable, which is not included.

Sending the audio separately from the video will not affect the 3-D viewing.

Regular DVDs can be played in most Blu-Ray players, but you can connect a separate DVD player if you want to using the composite or component inputs.
