Is there a difference between the IdeaPad Gaming 3i and 3 (both Intel Core i5-11300H)? I ordered the IdeaPad Gaming 3i and received the Gaming 3 model (15iHU6 with Core i5). The SKU and MTM numbers are the same on the box and online with Lenovo.

The IdeaPad 3i 15 Gaming Laptop is representative of the new naming feature of this Intel Core i5-11300H processor configuration. Now the IdeaPad 3 15 Gaming Laptop (model number 82K20003US) will ship with the AMD Ryzen 5 5600H processor, in the future.

Would this be a good computer for a drafting student? For running programs like CAD, Softplan, and revit?

That really will depend on the requirements and compatibility of the specific software you will need to run. We recommend you check with the specific software publisher's web sites, of the specific software you will need to use, for their compatibility with Windows 10 Home 64-bit operating system and the minimum/recommended hardware requirements (Is a Graphics card required, the processor speed and the minimum required system RAM and the minimum available hard drive space) to run their program, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration.

Just took the laptop out of the box, followed the steps - country, etc, connect to internet, then it went to blue screen- "Your computer will restart before you continue" for the last 4 hours. It wont shut off or move forward Now what not IT smart

This may be due to a download and installation of Operating System updates. Allow the computer to remain plugged in and running through its update routine.
