Hi Bob. No, The Lenovo Smart Display 7" with Google Assistant does not currently support Ring as it is an Amazon product. Currently there is no compatibility between Amazon smart devices and Google Assistant products.

Is there a reason why I can’t link my smart clock to google home? When I hit link device it just looks like it’s trying to but never does.

The ThinkVision monitor should have a DisplayPort connection. This dock has a DisplayPort Connection. Check the specific version of the ThinkVision Monitor you have. Is there anyway to stream/play audio out by wire in sync with video? Will USB type A to type A do this? Will the headphone jack work to a receiver's audio in? WIll the stream to HDMI from USB-C port be in sync with audio fed to a blue tooth speaker?

The Lenovo Yoga C740-14 can carry audio via USB Type A, not video. The 3.5mm has both audio in and audio out capability. The Yoga C740-14 has Bluetooth 4.1 capability for pairing a Bluetooth speaker.
