Lenovo S340-14 Touch Chromebook: Boost productivity with this 14-inch Lenovo Chromebook laptop. It will not load camera for picture of school work. But when I sign on it with adult non-school account the camera will open. I have followed direction and it wont work for the kids to take picture of work and send to teacher.
We recommend you consult with the teacher for instructions as to what exactly is needed from the students and how to go about creating it on a Chromebook.

Can my 13 year old use this computer for virtual classes
That really will depend on the software the child will need to use and the requirements and compatibility of that software. The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14 Laptop, model number 81W0009DUS, ships with Windows 10 S-Mode Operating System. Windows 10 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. Here is a link to instructions for switching from Windows 10 S-Mode to Windows 10 Home: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4456067/windows-10-switch-out-of-s-mode. We recommend you check with the specific APPs software publisher's web sites that your child will need to use for the online learning sessions, for their compatibility with Windows 10 S-Mode 64-bit operating system and the minimum/recommended hardware requirements (Is a Graphics card required, the processor speed and the minimum required system RAM and the minimum available hard drive space) to run their program, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration.

Does this thing actually have a camera, I see when I go to the Lenovo Site it says it has a camera but cannot tell if its a different model? BBY makes no mention of a camera. It says "Video Calls" but not more. The Hub mini can do video calls but its 1way

You can set alarms with The Lenovo 7" Smart Display with Google Assistant, and the device has an ambient light sensor, which can auto dim, or brighten the screen based on the current lighting conditions. To turn the screen off completely you will need to verbally issue a command like "Okay Google turn off my screen." If you are after a bedside alarm the Lenovo Smart Clock with Google assistant has some excellent features and is designed to be your bedside alarm clock. Yes. There is a limited 1 year manufacturer's warranty covering hardware OEM issues.
