is the RAM soldered onto the MB or is it a memory stick?

The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 Laptop, model number 81WE011UUS, has both. There is 4GB RAM soldered to the motherboard and there is a 4GB RAM stick within the one RAM memory slot within this configuration. This model is not user upgradable. A certified technician must do all of the work, so as to not void the warranty. Your certified technician can replace the 4GB RAM stick with an 8GB RAM stick for s system total of 12GB DDR4-2666MHz RAM. We recommend you consult your certified technician about your upgrade options.
