Hi, kate. We're sorry to hear that you're having trouble with using external monitors on your IdeaPad. To clarify, the USB-C port on this IdeaPad does not support DP Alt Mode or video output. To connect two external displays -- let's call them Monitor A and Monitor B -- Monitor A can be connected with a standard HDMI to HDMI cable, and Monitor B can be connected via a USB (3.0) to HDMI adapter, then an HDMI cable from the HDMI end of the adapter to Monitor B.
