Why the F7 key does not work to enable flight mode? I tried pressing the Fn and F7 keys together but nothing works, i can only turn on/off the flight mode by moving the cursor to wifi taskbar and click on flight mode.

The default setup of your computer is for the HotKey function to be the primary function. You should not have to press the "Fn" key for the Flight Mode Function to activate. Try just tapping the HotKey in the F7 position alone. You are correct, this model does not have a backlit keyboard system. Whether this will be a problem for you over time will depend on the amount of time you will spend on this device in low light/no light situations where the backlit keyboard would be necessary.

Will I be able to install Internet Explorer and Norton Security to this tablet?

The Tab 4, 10.1" is an Android 7.1 tablet that supports several different browsers and internet security software. "Google Chrome" is one of them.

The Tab 4, 10.1" is an Android 7.1 tablet. You can search for compatible apps on the "Google Play Store" for music. You can sync iTunes content through a cloud service.

Does this have GPS?

The Tab 4, 10.1" does support GPS, but you need to be connected to a network (WiFi) for it to function.

my head unit has digital tv, does it have hdmi or will it work with digital tv hook up

On the Tab 4, 10.1 you can use a Micro USB to HDMI ,MHL adaptor cable to connect to a newer TV. You can tell if this will work by checking the HDMI port on the TV for a MHL logo above it. If it has the MHL logo, you are ready to go. You can also "cast " to a newer smart TV with a Chromecast chip built in it.
