I know the ram is upgradeable, my question is to get to 16 gig do I have to buy 16 or 8? Are both slots already taken with 2 4 gigs?

The current 8GB configuration is 8 (2x 4G). You will need to replace both 4GB stick and add two 8GB sticks to achieve 16GB of RAM, system total.

Would this be a good "first" laptop for a Senior Citizen, who is Technically Challenged? (Not too badly though)
