I purchased this model back in June and returned it due to the constant loud fan noise(got hot too) but I'm thinking of giving it a second chance. Any tips on how to keep the fan noise from acting up every few minutes without causing overheating problems?

It will generate heat whenever it is turned on, even at idle, this is normal. The onboard fan will maintain the proper operating temperature for the device. You will hear the fan whenever it runs, this too is normal. Be sure to keep the vents within the watchband hinge clear for optimum cooling of the device.
