Does this work with apple, transfer appointments from iPhone to clock easily?

When you setup your Smart Clock, you will sign in through your Google account. If you do not have one, it will require that you set one up. It will update seamlessly with your Google Calendar and transfer all appointments. If you are using iCalendar, I do believe you are able to sync between the two.

Is WiFi required to use this product? I know that internet and google assistant won’t work without a WiFi connection, but for the time being I want to just use it as an alarm clock. Will it still function or is a constant WiFi connection required?

You will need a WiFi connection during setup and to use the Google Assistant feature. You will be able to still use the clock features and have Google set up an alarm/timer, without WiFi being connected.

its advertised that it comes with a 12 month subscription to office 365, but no way to activate it.

All you need to do is activate the Microsoft Office 365 Trial software. The length of time of the trial period for this model is 1-year.
