I would like to install a 2.5" HDD (that I removed from my old laptop) into the 3.5" expansion bay. What adapters and cables will I need in order to do this?

Is the memory installed one 8GB stick, or two 4GB sticks? There are only 2 slots and I want to increase to 16 GB. Thanks

I will need to use this laptop to log onto a VPN network and then log into older system operating a private software for their operation. Will this laptop work for that type of environment.
