Can used like phone
The Lenovo Smart Display is a WiFi only device and does not support sim cards like a cell phone. However you can do Google "Duo" video calling with it after setup with the Google home app.

The Lenovo Smart Display is a WiFi only device and does not support sim cards/LTE/Verizon.

There are 4GB of DDR4-2400MHz RAM. It is not meant for multi-tasking or demanding programs. It is good for Microsoft Office and light internet browsing.

I know the ram is upgradeable, my question is to get to 16 gig do I have to buy 16 or 8? Are both slots already taken with 2 4 gigs?
The current 8GB configuration is 8 (2x 4G). You will need to replace both 4GB stick and add two 8GB sticks to achieve 16GB of RAM, system total.

Yes, model number 81D100EDUS has Bluetooth 4.1 capability.
